German teenager Maxim Rehm will contest a full GB3 campaign in 2026 after sealing a stunning victory at Monza last year. The German racer joins reigning champions Rodin Motorsport with clear intent: fight at the front from the outset.
Rehm made a one-off appearance in the 2025 GB3 finale with Hillspeed and immediately impressed. He qualified inside the top five, secured sixth in the opening race and then powered to victory in the season finale at Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
“Winning at Monza last year definitely gave me a lot of confidence,” he said to GB3. “It showed that I can make an impact in GB3, even coming into the series without a full season of experience. Going into 2026, the goal is to build on that momentum from the very start and be consistently fighting at the front.”
A rapid rise through the ranks sees Rehm join Rodin for 2026 GB3 Championship
Rehm built his reputation in karting, where he claimed multiple national honours, including the 2022 Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft OK title. He transitioned to single-seaters in 2024 and quickly adapted to life in Formula 4 machinery.
He scored a podium in Italian F4 at Imola and took a maiden Euro 4 victory at Monza. Across 2025, he added further experience in Formula Winter Series and Italian F4 before stepping into GB3 machinery for his headline-grabbing cameo.
Reflecting on that breakthrough weekend in Italy, Rehm underlined his belief in his own progression.
“I wouldn’t say I was surprised, but I was really proud of how quickly we found the pace. Monza is a track that suits my driving style, so from the beginning of the weekend I felt comfortable and confident in the car. Of course, you always go into a race weekend hoping for a strong result — but to come away with the win was a special moment.
“The Monza performance definitely reinforced my decision, but the plan to move into GB3 was already quite clear before that. The result just confirmed that it was the right step at the right time in my career and gave me extra belief going into this season.”
Joining a championship-winning force
Rehm now links up with a team that has dominated GB3 in recent seasons. Rodin has secured the past three drivers’ titles with Callum Voisin, Louis Sharp and Alex Ninovic, adding to an already formidable record in junior single-seaters. Rehm believes the partnership gives him the perfect platform to chase the biggest prize.
“I’m extremely excited to be racing with Rodin this year. They’re multiple champions and have a very strong reputation in junior formula racing. For me, it’s the perfect environment to develop further as a driver and to fight for top results together.
“My ambitions for the season are very clear — I want to be consistently at the front, fighting for podiums and wins. If we execute everything properly as a team, I definitely believe we can put ourselves in a position to fight for the title.”
Rehm focused on development and preparation for 2026
Rehm already holds valuable mileage in GB3 machinery and has strengthened his relationship with Rodin through further outings, including pre-season competition in the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy. He now turns his attention to testing the updated car ahead of the 2026 campaign, determined to maximise every session before lights go out in April.
“I’m really looking forward to pre-season testing with the updated car. Any development over the winter is important, and testing will be key to understanding the changes, maximising performance, and making sure we start the season as prepared as possible.”
With momentum, confidence and a championship-winning team behind him, Rehm enters 2026 intent on transforming promise into a sustained title challenge.
