Rodin Motorsport has confirmed Reza Seewooruthun for the 2026 Formula Regional European Championship (FREC), marking a significant step in the British driver’s career. After a successful run in Formula 4 and GB3, Seewooruthun will compete alongside Alex Ninovic in one of the most competitive single-seater categories in motorsport with Rodin Motorsport.
Rapid rise through the ranks
Seewooruthun’s motorsport journey began in karting in 2021, where he quickly made an impact by winning the English Karting Championship in the Rotax Junior category. This early success opened doors to car racing, and in 2023, he joined the Ginetta Junior Championship with R Racing. His consistency and standout performances—particularly his three-race sweep at Brands Hatch—helped him secure third in the overall standings, with four victories to his name.
Following his karting success, Seewooruthun made his single-seater debut in Formula 4 with Hitech Pulse-Eight at the end of 2023. He competed in both the F4 UAE Championship and the F4 British Championship, where he quickly showcased his potential. In the UAE, he earned a podium finish in the wet conditions at Yas Marina, and later, in the UK, he secured his first victory at Thruxton and added another win at Silverstone. As a result, he finished third in the 2024 British F4 Championship, solidifying his reputation as one of the top young talents in the category. Additionally, Seewooruthun participated in the Euro 4 Championship and represented Team GB at the FIA Motorsport Games, where he secured a podium finish.
A new challenge in Formula Regional
Building on his success in Formula 4, Seewooruthun made the step up to the GB3 Championship in 2025 with Argenti and Prema. The experience further honed his skills, and at the end of the year, he also participated in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship with Mumbai Falcons. His solid performances there set the stage for his 2026 move to Rodin Motorsport in FREC.
On his new chapter with Rodin Motorsport, Seewooruthun expressed his excitement:
“I’m super excited to get started with Rodin in 2026 and happy to be a part of this historic moment as they step into a new championship. After a strong finish to my season in GB3, I’m looking forward to building on my momentum and proving myself in FREC.”
Rodin Motorsport’s Sporting Director, Benn Huntingford, added:
“Reza joins us at an exciting time as we launch our FREC programme. It will be a first season in the championship for all of us, but Reza’s attitude, work ethic, and progress through the junior categories gives us a huge amount of confidence heading into this step.”
With the 2026 season fast approaching, Seewooruthun’s move to Rodin Motorsport represents a key opportunity in his career. Having proven himself in Formula 4 and GB3, he is now ready to tackle the challenges of Formula Regional racing. As he prepares for the new season, his experience, drive, and ambition make him one of the most exciting talents to watch.
