Rodin Motorsport has confirmed Martin Molnar as the final member of its driver line-up for the 2026 GB3 Championship. As a result, the team heads into the new season with a strong and youthful trio, adding further depth to its multi-national squad.
A big step forward after an impressive F4 season
Molnar’s move to GB3 represents a natural progression after a standout 2025 British F4 Championship campaign. Competing with Virtuosi Racing, the Hungarian finished third overall and consistently featured at the front of the field.
Throughout the season, he delivered three pole positions, eight podium finishes and two race victories. Moreover, his ability to score points regularly underlined a level of maturity beyond his years, particularly in the second half of the championship when the title fight intensified.
At just 17 years old, Molnar now steps into the GB3 Championship with valuable experience and clear momentum behind him.
Karting pedigree that set the foundations
Before entering single-seater racing, Molnar built a formidable reputation in international karting. He began competing in 2017 and quickly progressed through the ranks, enjoying a breakout year in 2020.
During that season, he claimed three titles in the Mini Max category, including honours in the Rotax Max Challenge Austria and Central-Eastern Europe. Shortly afterwards, he moved into OK Junior competition, where he twice finished runner-up in the prestigious Trofeo delle Industrie.
His success continued after stepping up to the OK category. In 2023, Molnar won the 27° South Garda Winter Cup and finished second overall in the WSK Champions Cup, confirming his credentials against world-class opposition.
Growth through Formula 4 competition
Molnar made his Formula 4 debut in the 2024 British F4 Championship, again with Virtuosi Racing. Despite it being his first season in single-seaters, he emerged as the team’s strongest performer, securing five podiums and finishing eighth in the overall standings.
In addition, he won the inaugural Jake Cook Memorial Award, recognising the driver who showed the greatest improvement over the season.
He carried that form into 2025. After contesting the F4 Middle East Championship over the winter, Molnar returned to Britain and quickly established himself as a title contender. Ultimately, he finished third in the championship with two wins, three pole positions, seven fastest laps and ten podiums.
Molnar joining a strong Rodin Motorsport squad for GB3 2026
For 2026, Molnar joins Rodin Motorsport alongside Maxim Rehm and Abbi Pulling. Together, they form a balanced and internationally diverse line-up as the team targets success in the highly competitive GB3 Championship.
Reflecting on the move, Molnar said: “I am really looking forward to the upcoming season and excited to continue my career with the top team in GB3, Rodin Motorsport. I believe an extremely exciting year lies ahead of us; during last autumn’s tests, we immediately found a strong working relationship with the team, and everyone has been highly professional and composed.”
Meanwhile, Rodin Motorsport has expressed clear confidence in its newest signing. Sporting Director Benn Huntingford highlighted both Molnar’s ability and mindset as key reasons behind the decision.
“We’re happy to welcome Martin to Rodin Motorsport for the 2026 GB3 season. He’s shown strong potential and a mature approach to his racing and we believe this environment will allow him to continue developing while competing at a high level. We’re looking forward to seeing how he progresses with the team.”
With a proven karting background, a successful Formula 4 career and a strong support structure at Rodin Motorsport, Molnar enters the 2026 GB3 season well prepared. Consequently, expectations will be high as he looks to convert his rapid rise through the junior ranks into further success on the single-seater ladder.
