Hitech has confirmed the signing of Stefan Bostandjiev for the 2026 Eurocup-3 Championship, continuing to build momentum ahead of its maiden campaign in the series. The announcement underlines the team’s clear intent to assemble a well-rounded and competitive driver roster as it prepares to enter one of Europe’s fastest-growing single-seater championships.
Furthermore, the addition of Bostandjiev brings valuable experience and diversity to the programme. As Hitech lays the foundations for its debut season, the team has prioritised drivers who combine adaptability with proven performance across multiple disciplines.
A driver with a broad racing pedigree
Born in London to a Bulgarian family, Stefan Bostandjiev races under both Bulgarian and British nationality. Over several seasons, he has built an extensive résumé across sports car and junior racing categories. His early career focused on GT machinery, where he competed in ADAC GT4 Germany from 2021 to 2023.
During that period, Bostandjiev achieved notable success, including podium finishes and a strong sixth-place overall result in his rookie season. He then progressed to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe in 2024 with Iron Lynx, where he added further podiums and consistent points finishes. Consequently, he established himself as a driver capable of delivering results in highly competitive environments.
Transition to single-seaters
In 2025, Bostandjiev made a decisive shift to single-seater racing. He competed in both the GB3 and GB4 Championships, gaining valuable experience in two demanding categories. While adapting to a new style of racing, he delivered strong performances, including a race win and additional podiums in GB4.
This transition demonstrated his ability to learn quickly and apply his racecraft across different platforms. As a result, Hitech sees his varied background as a key asset when tackling Eurocup-3, a championship that rewards versatility and technical understanding.
Bostandjiev and Hitech preparing for the Eurocup-3 challenge
Eurocup-3 continues to attract drivers aiming to bridge the gap between Formula 4 and higher single-seater levels. The series combines powerful cars with intense European competition, demanding consistency, precision and mental resilience. Therefore, Hitech views Bostandjiev as a natural fit for the challenge ahead.
Stefan Bostandjiev shared his enthusiasm for joining the team: “I’m really excited to be joining Hitech for the 2026 Eurocup-3 season. Stepping into this championship feels like a natural and important step in my progression, and it’s a challenge I’ve been working towards throughout the winter.”
He continued: “The opportunity to work closely with a team of Hitech’s pedigree is incredibly humbling, and I’m looking forward to maximising every opportunity I’m given to learn and deliver on track.
“I’m highly motivated to put the work in every day, keep pushing myself, and fight for strong results throughout the season.”
Hitech’s management has expressed strong confidence in the signing. Bruin Beasley, Hitech’s Eurocup-3 Team Manager, commented: “Stefan brings a wealth of varied racing experience that we believe will serve him well in Eurocup-3. From sports car racing to his initial single-seater campaigns, he has shown adaptability and determination. We’re pleased to welcome him to the programme and look forward to what he can achieve this season.”
As preparations continue, Hitech remains focused on delivering a championship-ready package that supports driver development and performance. With Stefan Bostandjiev now confirmed, the team takes another important step towards a confident and competitive Eurocup-3 debut in 2026.
