Enzo Tarnvanichkul’s 2025 campaign in the GB3 Championship marked a significant milestone in his young racing career. In 2025, at just 16 years old, Tarnvanichkul took the step up from F4 machinery to the more powerful single-seaters of GB3, where he quickly proved himself as a leading contender for the VRD Racing team. His performance in the latter half of the season showed both promise and potential, culminating in a memorable victory at Brands Hatch.

A season of learning and car development

Reflecting on his first season in GB3, Tarnvanichkul was full of praise for his experience and the growth it fostered. “The season was full of learning and car development,” he said. “I genuinely enjoyed the experience of working on a new car and trying to improve it. Overall, it was extremely valuable for my growth as a driver, and I really enjoyed my time with VRD.”

Tarnvanichkul’s season was not only about racing but also adapting to new challenges, which contributed greatly to his development as a driver. His work with the team in refining the car proved instrumental in his ability to improve throughout the year.

Adapting to GB3 and Eurocup-3 simplicity

Tarnvanichkul’s GB3 experience ran parallel to his campaign in Eurocup-3, where he finished eighth overall. Despite the differences between the two categories, he found the transition between them to be relatively smooth.

“It was actually quite straightforward. The GB3 car is very similar to the Eurocup, so the adaptation wasn’t too difficult,” he explained. “The guys at VRD, along with Hugo [Schwarze], did an excellent job improving the baseline setup, and I was happy that once I got back in the car, I was able to execute properly.”

Early struggles and a turnaround at Silverstone

Tarnvanichkul’s first race weekend in GB3 came at Silverstone, where he faced the challenge of learning a new car and its intricacies. His best result in the opening round was 12th, a solid start to his campaign. However, it was when he returned to Silverstone in August that he truly began to show his potential. The improvement was evident, as he scored two top-10 finishes, marking a significant step forward in his performance.

The momentum continued to build, and his breakthrough came at Brands Hatch. There, Tarnvanichkul claimed his first-ever single-seater victory, a moment that he described as one of the highlights of his career.

“The first win is always special, and this being my first in single-seaters made it even sweeter. Brands Hatch was incredibly fun, and it’s a moment I’ll remember for a long time,” he said.

A strong finish in Monza

Despite the victory at Brands Hatch, Tarnvanichkul believes his best performance came later in the season at Monza. Although issues prevented him from achieving the final result he felt he deserved, he was pleased with his execution.

“My best performance was at Monza, especially in race three. I executed everything exactly as we planned, even though some issues prevented us from achieving the final result we deserved. Overall, we maximized everything we could despite that, and it was my strongest weekend in terms of driving.”

Reflecting on the season and looking ahead

Although Tarnvanichkul’s time in GB3 was limited to the second half of the 2025 season, he looks back with optimism and enthusiasm.

“If I had completed the full season, I think I might have contributed even more to the car’s development and fought more consistently for wins, but of course, we’ll never know,” he reflected. “Still, I look back with a very positive outlook.”

As for his future, Tarnvanichkul is already planning for 2026. While nothing is confirmed yet, he remains open to returning to GB3, where he’s already made valuable connections.

“Nothing is confirmed yet. These decisions often happen moment by moment, so I can’t say for sure whether I’ll be returning. But if I do, it would be a pleasure. I really enjoy working with the people there, from the organisation to the team. And of course, if I come back, my goal will be to hunt for more silverware,” he concluded.

Enzo Tarnvanichkul’s 2025 season in GB3 has set a solid foundation for his career. With a victory under his belt, a growing understanding of the car, and a hunger for further success, the future looks promising for the young Thai driver. As he looks towards 2026, there’s little doubt that he will be a driver to watch in the seasons ahead.
