Griffin Core by Campos has officially announced Thomas Strauven as one of its drivers for the upcoming Eurocup-3 season, marking a significant step in the promising Belgian’s career. Therefore, at just 17 years old, Strauven will make his debut in the highly competitive Eurocup-3 championship, driving one of the new Dallara 326–Toyota single-seaters fielded by the Alzira-based team. Thus, this move represents a major leap forward for the talented driver, who enters the series as one of the brightest young stars in motorsport.

A remarkable rise through the ranks

Born in Genk, Belgium, Strauven has rapidly ascended the single-seater ladder. After a standout season in the 2025 F4 Spain Championship, where he was crowned champion, Strauven now moves on to Eurocup-3. His dominance in F4 Spain was nothing short of impressive; he clinched the title with a remarkable ten victories, four second places, and three third-place finishes. Furthermore, he managed to score points in all but two races, finishing outside the points only once in 21 races. Without a doubt, this performance showcased Strauven’s exceptional consistency and skill, making him a highly regarded talent in Belgian motorsport.

Thus, his success in F4 Spain has paved the way for this exciting new challenge in Eurocup-3, a step that will push him even further in his career. Therefore, now, with Griffin Core by Campos, Strauven has the perfect opportunity to continue his upward trajectory and prove himself in the highly competitive Eurocup-3 series.

The Eurocup-3 challenge and new technical era

For the 2026 season, the Eurocup-3 championship will introduce significant changes. The new Dallara 326 chassis, replacing the Tatuus F3 T-318, will bring a fresh challenge for all drivers. Additionally, Toyota will become the engine supplier, replacing Alfa Romeo with a 1.6-litre power unit. Therefore, these changes represent a new era for the series, with a greater emphasis on performance and competition. As a result, every driver will need to adapt quickly to the new technical package, and Strauven is no exception.

For Campos Racing, this transition presents both a challenge and an opportunity. The team has already enjoyed success in the championship, securing two drivers’ titles and one teams’ championship with the previous Tatuus–Alfa Romeo combination. With the new Dallara–Toyota package, the team is excited to continue its legacy of success. Undoubtedly, Strauven’s experience and talent will be crucial in helping the team navigate this technical shift.

Campos’ confidence in Strauven

Adrián Campos, Team Principal of Campos Racing, expressed his excitement about working with Strauven in Eurocup-3:

“It is excellent news to have Thomas with us for next season’s Eurocup-3. The way he clinched the F4 Spain title was impeccable, one for the history books in terms of victories and podium finishes, and almost doubling the points tally of his closest rival. He is perfectly prepared for this new challenge ahead, which will be a step into the unknown for everyone as we introduce the new Dallara 326–Toyota car. We are delighted to continue working with him and very much looking forward to extending our successful record together.”
