TR3 Racing has confirmed its return to GT World Challenge (GTWC) America powered by AWS for the 2026 season. After a focused period of preparation, the South Florida-based team will field the No. 9 Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the Pro-Am category.

The programme marks a renewed commitment to top-level GT3 competition and signals the team’s intent to compete at the front of North American sports car racing.

Brayton Williams makes 2026 GTWC America debut with TR3 Racing

Brayton Williams will make his career debut with TR3 Racing in 2026. Over the past season, he has worked closely with the organisation, embedding himself within its operations and undertaking extensive testing across multiple North American circuits.

Through that structured development programme, Williams has gained crucial experience with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 platform and prepared himself for the demands of elite GT competition. Williams outlined his excitement ahead of his first full GT3 season. He said:

“I’m proud to announce that I will compete in my first full season in the Mercedes-AMG GT3, marking an exciting new chapter in my racing career. The opportunity to race at this level is both an honor and a privilege, and I’m extremely motivated to make the most of it. I would like to sincerely thank Will Bamber for his belief and dedication, TR3 for the opportunity and continued support, and Williams International for standing behind me on this journey. Their confidence and commitment have made this program possible, and I’m grateful to be representing such outstanding partners. I’m looking forward to the season ahead and embracing the challenges and opportunities that come with racing at this level.”

Will Bamber returns to strengthen the line-up

Joining Williams in the cockpit, TR3 Racing PRO driver Will Bamber returns for his second consecutive season with the team. He builds on a highly successful 2025 campaign, during which he delivered standout performances in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo championship.

His experience and continuity provide stability as TR3 Racing re-enters SRO competition with a balanced Pro-Am pairing. He emphasised his enthusiasm for the season ahead:

“I’m thrilled to join TR3 Racing and Williams International for the 2026 GT World Challenge North America season. TR3 is more than a team—it’s a family—and I’m excited to build on last season’s success. Racing alongside Brayton Williams, a massive emerging talent, for his inaugural season in sports car competition is extremely exciting. I can’t wait to push the Mercedes-AMG GT3 to the limit at some of my favorite tracks in North America.”

TR3 Racing leadership confidence in the 2026 GTWC America programme

Founded by the Romanelli brothers, TR3 Racing has established itself as a multi-championship-winning organisation focused on driver development and performance excellence. The team operates across GT3 competition and premier single-make championships, building a strong record with world-class manufacturers, including Mercedes-AMG and Lamborghini.

By combining luxury-level hospitality, elite engineering support and a relentless drive to win, TR3 Racing continues to position itself as a modern motorsport operation built around professionalism and passion. Team Owner Gregory Romanelli has expressed strong confidence in the upcoming campaign:

“We are thrilled to return to SRO and are proud to announce our PRO-AM driver pairing, Brayton Williams and Will Bamber. Williams has been working with us for the past couple of years. Watching his growth, dedication, and commitment has been extremely rewarding. He has poured his heart into this program. The countless test days, the long hours, the desire to learn every detail of the car and the craft. His dedication, humility, and relentless drive to improve are exactly what we value at TR3 Racing.

“Pairing him with Will Bamber, who had such a strong 2025 season with us, and has been such a great part of our team, gives Brayton the perfect teammate. With much of our core crew returning from previous campaigns, it feels like getting back to our roots while also embracing an exciting new format that energizes the entire team. We’re motivated, prepared, and very excited for what lies ahead in 2026.”

As the 2026 GTWC America season approaches, TR3 Racing combines preparation, experience and ambition. With a strengthened driver pairing and a returning core crew, the team positions itself to make an immediate impact in the Pro-Am ranks.
