Williams unveils 2026 F1 livery

Williams F1 have become the latest team to launch its 2026 season livery with the FW48. It follows on from a difficult January for the team.

2026 Barcelona FW48 testing livery gets canned as Williams F1 skips shakedown

Williams F1 were due to begin the 2026 pre-season in a one-off livery. The livery was fan-designed, with over 55,000 votes from 162 countries cast during the competition to select it. They described the competition as a “part of Williams’ commitment to bringing fans closer than ever to the team.

Barcelona shakedown was held behind closed doors and was an addition to the regular testing season calendar. Williams ended up missing it as the other ten teams got vital laps in.

Typically, only one round of testing is conducted before the season begins. However, due to the new regulations, three rounds are being hosted this year. During Bahrain testing, fans will be able to see the FW48 and its 2026-season livery in action.

FW48 Launch

Taking place via a virtual-only event on February 3rd, Williams have revealed the new livery they will be using for the 2026 F1 season. With this, they have also revealed the FW48.

2026 is the beginning of a new set of regulations. The cars will be smaller and lighter, with a different overall design, making the event even more important. This was the first look the world got of the FW48.

Williams F1 also has a new name for the season. While they announced their title partner, Atlassian, last year, they have changed their name this year. Instead of Atlassian Williams Racing, the team is now Atlassian Williams F1 Team. They also have a new logo, which is featured on the new livery.

Williams F1 are entering their second year with the line-up of Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard bagged a magnificent two Grand Prix podiums in 2025. The Thai was P8 in the Drivers’ Championship. Williams secured P5 in the Constructors’.
