French team Neri Autosport will make its debut in the Euroformula Open during the 2026 season, marking an important step in the squad’s development. The Belfort-based organisation will enter one Dallara 324 powered by Toyota through the Tom’s engine package. Shortly after confirming its entry, Neri Autosport revealed that young Belgian driver Aaron Ferrazzano will take the wheel for its maiden campaign in the 2026 Euroformula Open championship.

A team ready to step up

Jean-Louis Neri founded Neri Autosport in 2016 to support his own racing career in French national championships. Over time, the team expanded its activities and gained experience in international single-seater competitions. In recent seasons, it has competed in series such as the Drexler Formula Cup and the F2000 Formula Trophy.

After several years of development, the organisation has decided that the moment is right to move up to a higher level of competition.

As team founder Jean-Louis Neri explained: “Now the time has come to climb up a ladder and grow further. We have been looking at different championships, and opted for the Euroformula Open as it offers the best sporting and technical platform for our growth. For us, it is going to be a big challenge for sure, but we have experience in working with Dallara cars, and we are confident that we can compete at this level.”

A carefully planned driver project

When the team first announced its Euroformula entry, it confirmed that a driver had already been selected but that the identity would remain confidential for the time being.

Neri explained the reasoning behind that decision: “The deal is closed”, confirms Neri, “and actually the whole project has been built around this young and promising driver, who will start testing as soon as the car is delivered in the forthcoming weeks. In accordance with his family and backers, we will delay revealing his identity until tests will start, in order to minimize distraction from his studies as long as possible, as school is obviously his other top focus.”

The team later revealed that the driver at the centre of the project is Belgian prospect Aaron Ferrazzano.

Ferrazzano ready for 2026 Euroformula Open debut with Neri Autosport

Ferrazzano, an 18-year-old racer from Fontaine-l’Evêque, arrives in the championship after a successful karting career that included several titles across the Benelux and the Netherlands.

He stepped into single-seater racing in 2025 and immediately impressed by finishing runner-up in the Ultimate F3R Cup during his rookie season.

The Belgian driver will make his first appearance with the team at the official winter test at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where both the team and driver will begin preparations for their debut campaign.

Ferrazzano expressed his enthusiasm about the opportunity: “I am truly excited at joining the Euroformula Open and I thank everyone involved in this project and everyone who makes this opportunity possible. I am grateful for the support and the trust. The journey continues!”

For both the French squad and Ferrazzano, the upcoming season represents an important milestone. Together, they will aim to establish themselves in the competitive environment of Euroformula Open while building a foundation for future growth in international single-seater racing.
