Daniel Morad will make a full-time return to GT World Challenge (GTWC) America powered by AWS, after securing a seat with TR3 Racing for the remainder of the 2026 season.

The 35-year-old Canadian steps into the Pro-Am class line-up with immediate effect, replacing Will Bamber following his departure from the Florida-based squad. Consequently, Morad will take over duties not only in GTWC America but also amid wider changes within the team’s driver roster.

Morad to form new partnership with Williams at TR3 Racing for remainder of 2026 GTWC America season

Looking ahead, Morad will partner Brayton Williams, beginning with the upcoming round at Circuit of The Americas. Together, they will pilot the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo as they aim to challenge in the competitive Pro-Am category.

Team owner Gregory Romanelli expressed strong confidence in the pairing: “I’m thrilled to have Daniel back behind the wheel at TR3 Racing. He’s always been part of our family and is a fantastic teammate both on and off the track. He is a tremendous driver. “We’ve had a ton of success with [Daniel], and know he will be a great teammate for [Brayton].

“Brayton is very talented and has already shown tremendous drive, and I know that alongside Daniel, the duo will be incredible together. I can’t wait to see them in action at COTA.”

A proven record with TR3

Morad’s return marks a reunion with a familiar environment. Notably, he competed with TR3 Racing during the 2023 season, also driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 machine. That campaign stands as his most recent appearance in the series, where he previously demonstrated strong performances in GT3 competition. Furthermore, his background as a former Mercedes-AMG Performance driver adds valuable experience to the team’s efforts this season.

As he prepares for his comeback, Morad highlighted both his enthusiasm and belief in the team’s potential. He said, “I am so happy to be back with the TR3 family.“2023 was one of my favorite seasons being in such a great environment. It’s exciting to be working with Brayton as well. After watching the first race weekend unfold, there’s a lot of potential and a lot of talent which is very encouraging.”

With the season progressing, TR3 Racing aims to capitalise on this refreshed line-up. Morad’s experience, combined with Williams’ emerging talent, creates a balanced and competitive pairing.

Therefore, as the championship heads to Circuit of The Americas, the team positions itself to build momentum. With renewed confidence and a proven driver back in the fold, TR3 Racing sets its sights firmly on delivering consistent results in the races ahead.
