Fortec Motorsports has confirmed that Thomas Ingram Hill will continue with the team for the 2026 GB4 Championship. This renewed partnership signals a clear intent to fight for top honours after a season of significant development.
At 16 years old, Ingram Hill already carries substantial experience for his age. He competed in both GB4 and selected rounds of the F4 British Championship during 2025. Before that, he raced in the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2024, which helped him build a solid foundation in circuit racing. Therefore, he enters the upcoming campaign better prepared and more confident.
Strong adaptation fuels mid-season breakthrough
Ingram Hill adapted quickly to the demands of single-seater racing. He secured top-ten finishes in his opening two GB4 race weekends, which immediately demonstrated his ability to handle the transition.
As the season progressed, he steadily improved his pace and consistency. From round nine onwards, he raised his average finishing position to fifth, highlighting a clear upward trajectory. In addition, he delivered standout podium finishes at Silverstone and Donington Park, which confirmed his growing competitiveness.
Meanwhile, his parallel outings in British F4 strengthened his technical understanding and racecraft. Consequently, he developed a more complete skill set that he now carries into 2026.
Momentum builds ahead of new season
With a full season of experience behind him, Ingram Hill now shifts his focus from learning to delivering results. Fortec Motorsports also brings strong credentials into the campaign, having secured two GB4 Drivers’ titles as well as the 2020 British F4 Drivers’ Championship and the 2025 Challenge Cup.
The 2026 GB4 season will begin at Silverstone on 25–26 April, launching a seven-round calendar across the UK’s leading circuits. With continuity in both driver and team, expectations remain high for a competitive start.
Team Principal Oliver Dutton emphasised the progress made and the opportunities ahead:
“Tom made huge strides last season. His learning curve was steep, he rose to it impressively, and by the second half of the year he was a consistent podium threat. With continuity, experience, and a focused testing programme behind him, he has everything he needs to race at the front from round one. We believe he can be a title contender in 2026.”
Looking ahead, Ingram Hill has set a clear objective for the upcoming season. He aims to convert last year’s lessons into consistent front-running performances and ultimately challenge for the title.
“I’m really excited to be back with Fortec for my first full push for the GB4 title. Last season was all about learning and now it’s about converting that into results. I feel settled in the car and the team and I know what it takes to run at the sharp end. Silverstone can’t come soon enough.”
A title challenge in sight
Ingram Hill now stands on the verge of a potential breakthrough season. He combines experience, momentum, and a proven team environment, which together create a strong platform for success.
As a result, he enters 2026 as a credible title contender. If he maintains his upward trajectory and delivers consistent performances, he could establish himself as one of the leading figures in the GB4 Championship.
