Archie Davies will step up to single-seater racing in 2026, joining the GB4 Championship with Scorpio Motorsport. The 16-year-old Briton makes the transition after building a strong foundation in tin top competition over the past two seasons.

Davies competed in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship in 2024 and 2025, where he demonstrated consistent progression. He improved from eighth place in his debut season to fourth overall in 2025. Therefore, he enters GB4 with both momentum and confidence as he takes on a new challenge.

Strong results highlight tin top success

Davies delivered an impressive campaign in 2025, securing multiple victories and podium finishes across a variety of circuits. He claimed race wins at Mallory Park and Silverstone, while also achieving a double podium at Anglesey.

In addition, he collected further silverware at Snetterton and Brands Hatch, reinforcing his consistency across the season. His qualifying performances also stood out, as he secured three front-row starts, including a pole position at Donington Park.

To cap off his season, Davies competed in the C1 Eurocup 24 Hour race at the Autodromo Internacional Algarve. As part of a four-driver team, he finished second, adding valuable endurance racing experience to his résumé.

Preparation paves the way for GB4 move

Alongside his tin top commitments, Davies actively prepared for a move into single-seaters. He completed multiple test days in both Formula 4 and GB4 machinery, gaining crucial experience and familiarity with open-wheel cars.

His performances during GB4 testing with Scorpio Motorsport proved particularly encouraging. As a result, both driver and team committed to a full campaign together in 2026, signalling mutual confidence in a successful partnership.

Davies has expressed enthusiasm about his transition to GB4 and his opportunity to work with Scorpio Motorsport. He believes the move represents a natural next step in his racing career and a chance to prove himself in a new discipline.

“I’m really excited to be joining Scorpio Motorsport for the 2026 GB4 season. After two great years in Fiesta Juniors, stepping up to GB4 feels like the perfect next challenge. The team has a strong reputation and I’m confident we can work well together to be competitive from the start. I’m looking forward to getting going and seeing what we can achieve.”

Team backs Davies for immediate impact

Scorpio Motorsport Co-Owner Louis Kershaw has also expressed strong confidence in Davies’ potential. He pointed to the young driver’s attitude and work ethic as key factors behind the decision to sign him.

“We are thrilled to sign Archie for the Championship next year. From his first test with Scorpio, his attitude, maturity and non-stop work ethic set him apart. His mindset, focus and drive make it clear he has everything needed to thrive and is ready to make an immediate impact. Archie is a key addition to our team, we are excited to get started and eager to see what we can achieve together.”

Davies now embarks on a pivotal stage in his career as he transitions from tin tops to single-seaters. With strong recent results, valuable testing experience, and a supportive team environment, he enters the 2026 season well prepared.

If he adapts quickly and builds on his existing momentum, he could establish himself as one of the standout newcomers in the GB4 Championship.
