Cian Geraghty will step into single-seater racing in 2026 as he joins Scorpio Motorsport for his debut GB4 Championship campaign. The 17-year-old British driver makes the transition after establishing himself as one of the most successful kart racers in the UK.

Therefore, Scorpio Motorsport strengthens its 2026 line-up by adding Geraghty alongside Archie Davies, with a third driver expected to be confirmed in due course. As a result, the team continues to build a competitive and diverse rookie-focused roster.

Elite karting record builds strong foundation

Geraghty arrives in GB4 with an impressive karting résumé, having secured five major titles across multiple categories. He currently holds the Ultimate Karting Championship Senior Rotax crown after a dominant season featuring five victories.

In addition, he has won the Rotax National Trophy, finished runner-up in the IAME O-Plate, and placed third in the Rotax Euro Series. He also claimed the Kartmasters Grand Prix and became a two-time English champion, while adding the LGM Series title in earlier seasons.

Consequently, he enters GB4 with a proven record of winning under pressure at national and international level.

Broad racing experience ahead of GB4 debut

Geraghty has already begun preparing for his transition into car racing by sampling a variety of machinery. His first car racing appearance came in the Mazda MX5 Supercup at Oulton Park in July, where he secured fourth and sixth place finishes.

He has also completed testing in GB4 machinery with Scorpio Motorsport. Alongside this, he gained experience in Ferrari 488 Challenge cars and Radical SR3 machinery, which broadened his understanding of different racing platforms.

His early GB4 running at Snetterton delivered a positive impression, providing a strong foundation ahead of winter testing and his debut season.

Geraghty has expressed enthusiasm about stepping into GB4 and beginning his single-seater career with Scorpio Motorsport. He aims to build steadily through testing and translate his karting success into competitive race results.

“After a strong few years of Senior Karting, I am looking forward to making the step up to the GB4 Championship for my first season of car racing. I am really looking forward to racing with Scorpio Motorsport and seeing what we can do together. We had a really positive first day in the car at Snetterton and I am looking forward to building on that through the winter testing before round one. “A massive thankyou to everyone at Scorpio Motorsport for everything they have done to give me this opportunity for 2026.”

Team confident in winning mindset

Scorpio Motorsport Co-Owner Louis Kershaw has praised Geraghty’s karting pedigree and highlighted his professional approach as key strengths for 2026.

“We are over the moon to have signed Cian for the upcoming GB4 Championship season. He becomes the latest in a long list of extremely talented drivers to race a Scorpio car.

“Rarely do you get the opportunity to work with a such a highly decorated karter. We are confident that the winning mindset which has brought him so much success at the pinnacle of karting will come through once again in his GB4 campaign with us.

“It is a pleasure to have him onboard, he is an all round nice lad, with an attitude and work ethic that mimics our own. He will certainly be a great addition to an already strong team. Both Cian and ourselves have our eyes firmly on the prize in 2026.”

Geraghty now enters GB4 as one of the most successful karting graduates on the 2026 grid. With proven race-winning pedigree, early single-seater experience, and strong team backing, he begins his rookie season in a competitive position.

If he adapts quickly, he could emerge as a front-running contender during his debut campaign in the GB4 Championship.
