Fox Motorsport has confirmed Saudi karting champion Jasser Iskander as its first driver for the 2026 GB4 Championship season. As a result, the 15-year-old will become the first Saudi Arabian driver to compete in GB4, marking a significant milestone for both the series and the driver.

In addition, Iskander is the 20th confirmed entrant on the grid, with just under three months remaining before the season begins.

Stepping onto the UK stage

Iskander, who hails from Jeddah, will race one of the team’s Tatuus MSV GB4-025 cars across the seven-round campaign. The season will kick off at Silverstone’s Grand Prix circuit on 24–25 April, offering an immediate challenge at one of the UK’s most iconic venues.

Although this will be his first full season in car racing, Iskander has already gained valuable testing experience in GB4 machinery under varying conditions.

Notably, Iskander’s journey into motorsport has been remarkably swift. A self-confessed fan of Max Verstappen, he only began racing rental karts in mid-2024. However, he quickly demonstrated his natural ability by becoming a race winner almost immediately.

Soon after, he stepped up to the IAME KSA Junior Karting Championship in early 2025, competing against some of the country’s most experienced young drivers. Despite the challenge, he secured the title at his first attempt, a feat that underlines his raw talent and adaptability.

Aiming high in debut season

Following his success in Saudi Arabia, Iskander now sets his sights on making an impression in GB4. While acknowledging the steep learning curve, he remains ambitious about his goals.

“I’m thrilled to be coming to the UK to race in the GB4 Championship with Fox Motorsport. Ever since I raced a kart for the first time, I knew it was what I wanted to do and I will do whatever it takes to realise my dream of racing in Formula 1. I tested a GB4 car at Pembrey last summer and again at Donington in December, so I’ve experienced the car in hot and dry conditions as well as cold and wet. It’s very different to a kart, but I got used to it pretty quickly and can’t wait to get my testing programme properly underway with Fox. Although it’s my first season in cars, I’m aiming high and want to get on the podium as soon as I can. It’s going to be tough with a very high level of competition, but I think it’s possible.”

Strong backing from Fox Motorsport

Fox Motorsport enters the 2026 season with confidence, having already proven its capabilities in GB4. The team claimed victory on its debut weekend in 2023 and has since run multiple race winners, including Liam McNeilly and Branden Templeton.

Team Principal Paul McNeilly expressed his belief in Iskander’s potential, despite his limited experience.

“We’re very pleased to announce Jasser – the first Saudi Arabian driver we’ve had at Fox Motorsport. He has far less experience than many of the rookies moving up to GB4 in 2026 – just one season in karting – but clearly has a remarkable amount of talent, as winning your national title at the first attempt is an incredibly difficult thing to do. Jasser is very ambitious and I think that together we can not only help him to learn and develop as a driver, but perhaps to spring a few surprises over the year as well.”

As the countdown to the new season continues, Iskander’s arrival adds further excitement to an already competitive grid. While he faces a steep transition from karting to single-seaters, his rapid rise suggests he could adapt quickly.

If he builds on his early promise, Iskander may not only make history but also emerge as one of the standout rookies of the 2026 GB4 campaign.
