Post-race penalties dramatically altered the outcome of Race 3 in the 2026 GB3 Championship at Silverstone. Stewards issued five-second penalties to Kyuho Lee, Nikita Bedrin, and Leon Wilson after determining they performed burnouts on the way to the grid, a breach of pre-race regulations. As a result, the final classification changed significantly after the chequered flag.

Jin Nakamura retained victory with a controlled and consistent drive over 12 laps. However, the podium line-up shifted behind him. Kyuho Lee, who initially finished second, dropped to ninth once officials applied his penalty. Consequently, Flynn Jackes moved up to second place, while Lucas Fluxá inherited third, securing a revised podium finish.

The reshuffle also benefited several other drivers. Rodrigo Gonzalez and Patricio Gonzalez advanced to fourth and fifth, respectively, capitalising on the penalties ahead. Maxim Rehm climbed to sixth, while Rowan Campbell-Pilling and Abbi Pulling improved to seventh and eighth. These gains highlighted how quickly fortunes can change when post-race decisions come into play.

Meanwhile, Nikita Bedrin experienced a costly setback. Despite crossing the line in fifth, his penalty pushed him down to 11th, removing him from the top 10. Alex Kattoulas consequently secured 10th place, with others also gaining minor positional advantages.

Leon Wilson, who failed to finish the race, also received a penalty, although it did not affect the final standings.
