As reported by Sportscar365, Nico Müller will complete Inter Europol Competition’s second driver line-up for the 2026 edition 24 Hours of Le Mans, the team has confirmed. The Swiss driver will partner Bijoy Garg and Reshad de Gerus in the No. 343 Oreca 07 Gibson as they prepare for the highlight of the FIA World Endurance Championship calendar.

As a result, Inter Europol strengthens its LMP2 entry with an experienced and versatile addition ahead of the iconic endurance race.

Le Mans to be first LMP2 appearance since 2022 for Müller

Müller will return to the LMP2 category at Le Mans for the first time since his debut with Vector Sport in 2022. Since then, he has competed in the top Hypercar class with Peugeot, delivering a best overall finish of 12th in 2024.

In addition, he served as a reserve driver for Porsche Penske Motorsport last year, further expanding his experience across multiple prototype categories. Therefore, his return to LMP2 comes with a well-rounded skill set and deep knowledge of endurance racing.

Looking ahead to the race, Müller expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Polish squad and competing for top honours in class.

“I’m super excited to be joining Inter Europol Competition alongside Bijoy and Reshad for what is the biggest race of the year,” said Müller. “The 24 Hours of Le Mans is always very high on every driver’s list, and it’s great to be heading back there.

“Having competed at Le Mans in both Hypercar and LMP2 before, I’m excited to fight for the win in LMP2 with my teammates. It’s also fantastic to be working with such a successful team at Le Mans, and I’m ready to give it everything.”

Team principal Sascha Fassbender welcomed the addition, highlighting the strength of the combined driver roster.

“I’m very happy to confirm Nico as our third driver for Le Mans. With our full-season line-up of Bijoy and Reshad, we have already shown that they are a strong duo. Adding Nico for Le Mans gives us a very strong line-up and the possibility to have two competitive cars, both able to fight for the win. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Defending winners return in sister car

Meanwhile, Inter Europol’s No. 43 entry will feature its proven, race-winning combination from last year. Tom Dillmann, Nick Yelloly and Jakub Smiechowski will reunite as the defending LMP2 class winners.

Consequently, the team heads into Le Mans with two highly competitive crews, both capable of challenging for victory in one of motorsport’s most demanding events.

Strong prospects for Inter Europol

Overall, the addition of Müller enhances Inter Europol Competition’s chances significantly. With a blend of consistency, experience and proven race-winning talent across both cars, the team positions itself as a serious contender in the LMP2 category.

As anticipation builds, all eyes will be on whether this reinforced line-up can deliver another standout performance at Le Mans.
