Practice 2 at the Indy GP ahead of round 6 of the 2026 IndyCar season has been completed, view the full results here.

In the first practice session, defending champion Alex Palou was fastest from Graham Rahal as the Spaniard was rapid on reds and blacks. Kirkwood, Rosenqvist and Malukas completed the top 5.

In the first half of Practice 2, Graham Rahal went for a spin in turn 12. The RLL driver quickly recovered and returned to the box. Marcus Ericsson also had a moment there later as he found the grass as the front got light.

Will Power lost the rear into turn 13 and also had a spin, finding the grass before recovering.

Out of turn 4, the defending race winner and series champion put his left hand side wheels on the grass and had to abort that lap. Nonetheless, a 1:10.450 saw him top the full field running part, ahead of Kirkwood, Foster, Ericsson and Lundgaard.

Dixon, Rahal and Simpson did not take part in split running due to issues.

Group 1 results

Right at the end of Group 1, Mick Schumacher on fresh tyres logged a 1:10.790, before spinning at turn 10 on his last push. He was the only driver below 71s as three IndyCar race winners followed him.
