Nikita Bedrin put VRD Racing on top as the 2026 GB3 Championship completed Friday Practice at Spa-Francorchamps, delivering the fastest lap of the weekend so far ahead of Qualifying. The championship leader set a 2:11.293 in the second Free Practice session, placing himself comfortably clear at the head of the combined order.

Bedrin’s benchmark marked a new all-time GB3 lap time at the Belgian GP venue. His effort was almost 2.5s quicker than last year’s pole time and 3.7s clear of the existing GB3 race lap record.

The Italian finished 0.286s clear of Hitech’s Deagen Fairclough, who ended Friday second overall with a 2:11.579. Rodin Motorsport’s Abbi Pulling continued her strong Spa form in third, just 0.010s behind Fairclough after setting a 2:11.589 in FP2.

Pulling continues strong Spa showing

Pulling has been a consistent presence near the front of the field across the Spa weekend so far. After topping Thursday’s final test session, the Rodin Motorsport driver placed inside the top three in the final two Friday Practice sessions.

Elite Motorsport’s Kyuho Lee took fourth on the combined times, ending Friday 0.324s away from Bedrin’s outright pace. He finished only 0.028s behind Pulling and 0.025s ahead of Rodin’s Martin Molnar, who completed the top five.

All of the top five drivers set their fastest laps in FP2, which proved to be the quickest session of Friday morning.

Rehm tops FP1 and FP3 for Rodin

Maxim Rehm had led the way in the opening session with a 2:11.726, which at that point stood as the fastest GB3 lap time recorded at Spa. The German finished sixth overall on the combined order, 0.433s behind Bedrin.

Rehm returned to the top in FP3, setting a 2:12.138 to lead a Rodin Motorsport one-two ahead of Pulling. Lap times in the final session were around a second slower than the outright best from FP2, with Rehm heading Pulling by 0.252s.

Hillspeed’s Thursday pace-setter Dante Vinci was seventh quickest on Friday, ending the day 0.812s off Bedrin’s benchmark. Hitech’s Jin Nakamura followed in eighth, while Xcel Motorsport teammates Rowan Campbell-Pilling and Lucas Fluxa completed the top 10.

The drivers from sixth to 10th on the combined order also recorded their best laps in FP2.

Qualifying is up next at 15:30 and 15:50 local time. The first Qualifying session will form the grid for race one, while the second Qualifying session will decide the starting order for race two.
