During FP1, Charles Leclerc led Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen at the top of the timesheets in a disrupted session that saw red flags for Isack Hadjar and Fernando Alonso. Hamilton then went fastest in FP2, with Leclerc and Verstappen completing the top three, before a late red flag ended the session after Sergio Pérez’s brakes caught fire.

Teams headed out early in FP3 with Ferrari among the first on fresh soft tyres. Conditions proved less grippy than Friday, with drivers reporting low traction. Cadillac suffered again when Bottas returned slowly to the pits with a brake issue, mirroring Pérez’s problem from FP2. Hamilton led early before Leclerc reclaimed the top spot for Ferrari.

Mercedes emerged as the closest challenger to Ferrari during the second half of the session, with Antonelli going purple in the opening sectors before abandoning a lap that looked set to be the fastest of the weekend. Audi impressed with both Hülkenberg and Bortoleto inside the top ten.

With 14 minutes remaining, a red flag stopped the session. Bearman caught the dirty part of the track at Turn 3 and lost the rear, sliding into the barrier. The Haas driver climbed out unharmed, but his car needed repairs ahead of qualifying.

The session restarted with just a few minutes left. Most drivers had no time to complete a clean flying lap, but Antonelli stayed in the pits and held onto top spot. Leclerc, Hamilton and Russell completed the top four as the chequered flag fell.
