Campos Racing’s Noel León claimed his maiden F2 pole position with a commanding performance during Qualifying at the 2026 Austrian GP, full results below.

After topping Free Practice earlier today, MP Motorsport’s Oliver Goethe heads into Qualifying full of confidence, with Nikola Tsolov and Alex Dunne completing the top three. As the session got underway, the majority of the field headed straight out on track. Drivers spent several laps circulating the Red Bull Ring, continuing to bring their tyres up to a working window. However, Alex Dunne laid down the benchmark to chase and went to the top with a 1:16.526.

It was not long before both Campos Racing drivers found their way to the top of the timings, with Noel León leading the way with a 1:16.283 and Nikola Tsolov with a 1:16.298. Building on his strong momentum, Goethe’s first representative lap put him in a provisional P4 with a 1:16.478. However, after backing out of his first attempt, Rafael Câmara went to the top with a 1:16.052. As they continued to push the limits around Spielberg, drivers began to find the gravel traps.

With fifteen minutes left of the session, the track died down ahead of the final runs. León, who was the sole driver on track, improved to go to the top with a 1:15.544, putting five tenths between himself and Câmara.

Across the line for their final laps of the session, both MP Motorsport drivers managed to improve, but it still was not enough to beat León. However, Dunne’s next effort was enough for the Irishman to slot into P2 with a 1:15.673. Ultimately, an impressive effort from León remained unbeatable as the Mexican driver claimed his maiden F2 pole position during Qualifying at the 2026 Austrian GP.
