Ferrari maintained control of the 2026 CrowdStrike 24H of Spa build-up as Arthur Leclerc placed the #50 AF Corse entry at the top of the Free Practice 2 (FP2) classification.
Leclerc completed a 2:18.169 aboard the Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO, beating Fabian Schiller’s #17 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed entry by 0.141 seconds. Furthermore, Ferrari placed three cars inside the top five and led the Pro and Gold Cup classes.
Leclerc strikes early as temperatures rise
The 60-minute session began at 16:10 local time as 68 cars joined the 7.004-kilometre Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The #79 Tsunami RT Porsche did not take part.
Dry and extremely hot conditions greeted the field. The air temperature stood at 32.5°C, while the track temperature reached 54.3°C when the green flag appeared.
Leclerc set the early benchmark with a 2:18.169 on the second flying lap of the #50 Ferrari. However, his time remained 0.935 seconds slower than the 2:17.234 that Alessio Rovera produced during the slightly cooler morning session.
Nevertheless, Leclerc retained the top position for the remainder of FP2 and ensured that AF Corse led all three official sessions held before Qualifying, following Tuesday’s test and Thursday morning’s FP1.
Schiller splits the two AF Corse Ferraris
Fabian Schiller challenged Ferrari’s control after approximately 30 minutes and moved the #17 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed entry into second. Schiller completed a 2:18.310 to finish 0.141 seconds behind Leclerc. His improvement separated the two Pro-class AF Corse Ferraris and pushed Nicklas Nielsen into third.
Nielsen recorded a 2:18.628 aboard the #51 Ferrari, finishing 0.459 seconds behind the overall benchmark. Consequently, AF Corse placed both of its Pro entries inside the top three for the second successive practice session.
Owega leads Silver as Ebdrup keeps Selected Car Racing on top
Salman Owega produced a late improvement in the #5 Optimum Motorsport McLaren and climbed to fourth overall with a 2:18.645. The German led the Silver Cup and continued the entry’s strong Thursday after Guilherme Oliveira had topped the class during FP1.
Meanwhile, Malte Ebdrup finished only 0.004 seconds behind Owega in the #71 Selected Car Racing Ferrari. His 2:18.649 secured fifth overall and kept the AF Corse-run entry at the head of the Gold Cup.
Lucas Auer followed in sixth for Mercedes-AMG Team MANN-FILTER with a 2:18.732. Joseph Loake then placed the #59 Garage 59 McLaren seventh, only 0.017 seconds behind Auer.
Feller leads Porsche as Mazzola takes second in Silver
Ricardo Feller placed the #80 Lionspeed GP Porsche eighth overall after completing a 2:18.879.
Rocco Mazzola followed only 0.010 seconds behind in the #66 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi. The Italian took ninth overall and second in the Silver Cup with a 2:18.889.
Marvin Dienst completed the overall top 10 and led the Bronze Cup aboard the #87 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG. Dienst recorded a 2:19.033 and finished 0.864 seconds behind Leclerc.
Further down the order, Benjamin Paque placed the #999 GetSpeed Team PCX Mercedes-AMG 14th overall and secured the Pro-Am benchmark with a 2:19.165.
Two incidents interrupt the afternoon running
The #42 Oman Racing by Century Motorsport BMW spun into the gravel at Double Gauche during the early stages. However, the car returned to the circuit under its own power.
A few minutes later, the #28 Haas RT Audi made light contact with the barriers at Bruxelles after an incident involving the #8 Car Collection Motorsport Porsche.
Race control deployed one brief full-course yellow before allowing the field to resume its programmes. The session produced no further major interruptions.
