The 2026 FIA Formula 3 (F3) field took to Silverstone for the sole 45-minute Free Practice session of the British GP weekend. See the full results below.
Ugo Ugochukwu heads into the Silverstone Round leading the Drivers’ Championship, with Freddie Slater sitting second and Théophile Naël third in the standings.
MP Motorsport and Hitech were the first teams to send their drivers out on track, before the rest of the field followed with around 30 minutes remaining in the session.
Slater was the first driver to dip into the 1:46s, setting a 1:46.161. Campos Racing’s Ernesto Rivera slotted into second, just over half a second behind the Briton.
Initially, drivers were running wide and struggling for grip as the track remained very green, with several lap times also deleted for track limits.
Matteo De Palo, Fionn McLaughlin and Yevan David all looked strong in the closing stages, with the three rookies benefiting from previous racing experience around the Silverstone circuit.
At the closure of the session, Slater topped the timings with his earlier 1:46.161, with Rivera in P2, and De Palo in P3. Yamakoshi, Deligny, Naël, McLaughlin, Ugochukwu, Strømsted and Sharp rounded out the top 10.
