Freddie Slater claimed pole position during the 2026 FIA Formula 3 (F3) Qualifying session at Silverstone ahead of the British GP weekend. See the full results below.
Campos Racing and TRIDENT looked to be the teams to beat heading into Qualifying, while Ugo Ugochukwu arrived at Silverstone leading the Drivers’ Championship ahead of Freddie Slater in second and Théophile Naël in third.
Earlier in the day, Slater topped the sole 45-minute Free Practice session, finishing ahead of Ernesto Rivera and Matteo De Palo. However, the home hero was disqualified post-practice as the team could not provide a sufficient fuel sample.
In Qualifying, the Audi Development Driver made up for it as a scorching 1:45.620 saw him take his first Formula 3 pole by 0.260s from Théophile Naël. The Frenchman had exceeded track limits on his first two attempts but produced a great recovery.
Louis Sharp completed the top 3. Irish rookie Fionn McLaughlin did an outstanding lap to finish up in P6 following a tough start to the year.
Championship leader Ugo Ugochukwu could only manage P12 after track limit violations on his first two attempts like his Campos teammate. He will start on pole for the reverse grid race.
