11 drivers were hit with post-Qualifying penalties, significantly mixing up the grid for the Sprint Race. With the changes, Brando Badoer started from reverse-grid pole position alongside his Rodin Motorsport teammate Pedro Clerot.
At lights out, Badoer got a strong start, while Jin Nakamura made his way past Clerot. Drama struck early as championship rivals Ugo Ugochukwu and Freddie Slater made contact at Les Combes. Slater retired with damage as Ugochukwu continued after Campos Racing fixed his broken suspension. Meanwhile, Hiyu Yamakoshi and Mattia Colnaghi also collided at the Kemmel Straight during the opening lap, triggering a safety car.
Badoer led the field away at the restart, but soon lost the lead at Les Combes as Nakamura made a bold move past. Badoer fell under pressure from Clerot, with the two engaging in a close wheel-to-wheel battle. On Lap 8, Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi ran through the gravel at the exit of Turn 1, triggering a safety car as the track needed to be cleared.
The 2026 F3 Belgian Sprint Race resumed on the penultimate lap with Badoer quickly applying pressure on race leader Nakamura. Nakamura managed to hold on to the lead, finishing ahead of the Rodin Motorsport teammates.
