Nikola Tsolov extended his advantage at the top of the 2026 FIA Formula 2 Drivers’ Championship after finishing fourth in the F2 Sprint Race at the Belgian GP.
Joshua Dürksen claimed victory for Invicta Racing after passing early leader Martinius Stenshorne. The Rodin Motorsport driver finished second, while Dino Beganovic completed the podium for DAMS Lucas Oil.
Tsolov added five points to his championship total, while closest rival Gabriele Minì retired without scoring. Consequently, the Campos Racing driver increased his lead from 17 to 22 points.
Meanwhile, Rodin Motorsport drew level with MP Motorsport for second in the Teams’ Championship after Stenshorne and Alexander Dunne combined for 13 points.
Tsolov extends F2 Championship lead as Minì retires
Tsolov entered the Belgian round with 141 points and a 17-point advantage over Minì following his Silverstone Feature Race victory.
The Bulgarian started seventh in the Sprint Race after the reversed-grid procedure and moved through the order during the Safety Car-interrupted contest. He passed reverse-grid polesitter Sebastián Montoya on the final restart and took fourth place.
Tsolov therefore added five points and increased his total to 146. Minì, meanwhile, retired during the middle phase of the race and remained on 124 points.
As a result, Tsolov now holds a 22-point lead before Sunday’s Feature Race.
Câmara and Dunne remain separated by one point
Rafael Câmara retained third place in the Drivers’ Championship after finishing sixth.
The Invicta Racing driver added three points and moved from 94 to 97. He also claimed pole position for the Feature Race, although the championship table will add the pole bonus to his Sunday result column.
Dunne finished one place ahead of Câmara in fifth and collected four points. The Rodin Motorsport driver moved from 92 to 96 points and reduced the gap to Câmara from two points to one.
Therefore, only one point separates the two drivers in the fight for third, while both remain within 28 points of Minì.
León remains fifth as Maini and Beganovic draw level
Noel León retained fifth place with 69 points despite failing to finish the Sprint Race.
The PREMA Racing driver started from the rear after officials deleted his Qualifying lap times for causing the session’s red flag. He later retired without adding to his total.
Kush Maini also failed to score and remained sixth on 63 points. However, Beganovic’s third-place finish added six points to the DAMS driver’s total and moved him level with Maini.
Maini retains sixth on countback, while Beganovic remains seventh.
Stenshorne strengthens eighth place with runner-up finish
Stenshorne recorded his strongest result since winning the Canadian GP Feature Race by finishing second at Spa.
The Norwegian passed Montoya for the lead on the opening lap and controlled the early stages. However, Dürksen used DRS to overtake him on lap 11.
Stenshorne still collected nine points and increased his total from 48 to 57. He remains eighth in the standings but now trails Maini and Beganovic by only six points.
Laurens van Hoepen remained ninth on 47 points after finishing 10th and missing out on the Sprint Race points.
Dürksen jumps into top 10 after Spa victory
Dürksen made the largest move inside the Drivers’ Championship after taking his second Sprint Race victory of the season.
The Paraguayan started fourth before moving ahead of Roman Bilinski and Montoya. He then closed on Stenshorne and claimed the lead before controlling the final one-lap restart.
The win added 10 points to Dürksen’s total, moving him from 26 to 36. Consequently, he climbed five positions from 15th to 10th in the standings.
Dürksen now leads Rafael Villagómez and Ritomo Miyata by six points.
Goethe and Bilinski add points at Spa
Oliver Goethe claimed the final point after finishing eighth.
The MP Motorsport driver increased his total from 28 to 29 and now sits 13th, one point ahead of Montoya and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak.
Bilinski finished seventh and collected two points for DAMS Lucas Oil. He moved from 22 to 24 points but remained 16th in the championship.
Montoya started from reverse-grid pole but fell to ninth during the one-lap dash after the final Safety Car. He therefore missed the points and remained on 28.

Tsolov leads Minì by 22 points, while Câmara and Dunne remain separated by only one point in third and fourth. Dürksen’s victory lifted him into the top 10, while Beganovic drew level with Maini on 63 points.
Campos Racing extends Teams’ Championship advantage
Campos Racing increased its Teams’ Championship lead despite relying solely on Tsolov for points.
Tsolov’s fourth place added five points to the team’s total, while León retired. Campos therefore moved from 210 to 215 points.
MP Motorsport collected only one point through Goethe after Minì retired. The team increased its total from 152 to 153 points.
Consequently, Campos now leads MP by 62 points, four more than its advantage after Silverstone.
Rodin draws level with MP Motorsport
Rodin Motorsport delivered the strongest combined team result in the Sprint Race.
Stenshorne collected nine points for second, while Dunne added four with fifth place. Their 13-point haul moved Rodin from 140 to 153 points.
Rodin therefore drew level with MP Motorsport in the fight for second. However, MP retains the position on countback.
Both teams now trail Campos by 62 points heading into the Feature Race.
Invicta closes on second after Dürksen victory
Invicta Racing also collected 13 points through its two drivers.
Dürksen earned 10 points for victory, while Câmara added three by finishing sixth. Their combined score increased Invicta’s total from 120 to 133.
The team remains fourth but now sits only 20 points behind MP Motorsport and Rodin.
Invicta also increased its advantage over fifth-placed ART Grand Prix from 29 to 42 points.
DAMS closes to within four points of ART
DAMS Lucas Oil strengthened sixth place after both drivers finished inside the points.
Beganovic claimed six points with third place, while Bilinski added two by finishing seventh. DAMS therefore increased its total from 79 to 87 points.
ART Grand Prix failed to score with Maini and Inthraphuvasak and remained on 91. As a result, only four points now separate ART and DAMS.
TRIDENT retained seventh with 64 points, while Hitech, Van Amersfoort Racing, PREMA Racing and AIX Racing also failed to add to their totals.
