Broc Feeney and Brad Schumacher secured their first GT World Challenge (GTWC) Australia powered by AWS victory since the opening day of the 2026 season with a commanding performance in Hidden Valley Race 2.
Feeney moved into second during a dramatic opening lap before closing on leader Josh Buchan throughout the first stint. Schumacher then passed Cameron Campbell for the lead on Lap 38 and controlled the remaining distance to win by 7.031 seconds.
Meanwhile, Ryan Wood and Steve Brooks recovered from opening-lap contact to finish second for Team BRM/Wolfbrook Motorsport. Buchan and Campbell completed the podium, securing Zagame Autosport’s best result of the season and their first rostrum together.
2026 GTWC Australia: Hidden Valley: Race 2: Buchan and Wood clash at the start
Buchan started from pole in the #23 Zagame Autosport Ferrari 296 GT3, with Wood alongside him in the #88 Team BRM/Wolfbrook Motorsport Audi R8 LMS EVO II.
However, the front-row drivers made contact during the opening exchanges. Wood dropped towards the rear of the field, while Buchan retained the lead ahead of Feeney.
Further back, Brendon Leitch and Jayden Ojeda also made contact. The incident sent the #44 Geyer Valmont Racing by Tigani Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 down the order, while Ojeda also lost ground in the #66 Move My Wheels by Tigani Motorsport entry.
Wood quickly recovered and began passing cars. Leitch, however, needed more time to regain the positions lost during the incident.
Feeney begins closing on Buchan
Buchan initially established a useful advantage at the front. Nevertheless, Feeney gradually reduced the gap in the #1 Kelso Electrical/Team MPC Audi.
The Ferrari driver maintained a competitive pace and recorded a 1:04.8293 on Lap 6. The lap ultimately stood as the fastest of the race and lowered the Hidden Valley GT race benchmark.
However, Feeney continued drawing closer as the mandatory pit-stop window approached. His pace placed Schumacher within striking distance before the driver changes.
Meanwhile, Wood produced one of the race’s strongest recovery drives. He passed several rivals and climbed back to fourth behind Alex Peroni in the #268 Team BRM Audi before the pit window opened.
Campbell narrowly retains the lead after pit stops
Buchan handed the Zagame Autosport Ferrari to Campbell during the mandatory stops, while Schumacher replaced Feeney in the leading Audi.
Campbell emerged from the pit lane narrowly ahead of Schumacher. Brooks followed in third after taking over from Wood, while the #268 Team BRM crew lost time through its longer success penalty following Saturday’s victory.
Schumacher immediately applied pressure to Campbell. However, the Zagame Autosport driver defended the lead through several laps and prevented the Audi from gaining clear track.
Consequently, Brooks closed on both drivers and turned the fight for first into a three-car battle.
Schumacher claims the lead on Lap 38
Campbell continued resisting Schumacher as the race entered its closing phase.
Nevertheless, Schumacher finally completed the pass on Lap 38. Once ahead, he immediately created a gap and removed himself from the battle behind.
Brooks then attacked Campbell for second. During their fight, Campbell ran off the circuit, allowing the Team BRM/Wolfbrook Motorsport driver to move ahead.
Schumacher subsequently controlled the final laps and completed 51 tours in 59:08.7220. Brooks crossed the line 7.031s later, while Campbell secured third another 10.850s behind.
Wood and Brooks complete remarkable recovery
Wood and Brooks recovered from their opening-lap setback to claim second.
After dropping towards the rear, Wood moved through the field and returned the #88 Audi to the leading group before the pit stops. Brooks then remained close to Campbell and Schumacher before securing second during the closing stages.
The pair finished 17.881s ahead of the winner but completed an Audi one-two for Kelso Electrical/Team MPC and Team BRM/Wolfbrook Motorsport.
Meanwhile, Buchan and Campbell secured third. Although they could not convert pole into victory, their podium represented Zagame Autosport’s strongest result of the campaign.
Astuti and Currie claim season-best fourth
Valentino Astuti and Darren Currie finished fourth in the #2 Team MPC Audi R8 LMS EVO II.
The pair completed the race 22.866s behind the winners and recorded their best result of the season.
Leitch and Sergio Pires recovered from the opening-lap incident to finish fifth in the #44 Mercedes-AMG. They crossed the line only 0.366s behind Astuti and Currie.
Jaxon Evans and Elliott Schutte followed in sixth for ARGT. Their #26 Ferrari finished 1.796s behind Leitch and Pires after completing all 51 laps.
Penalty drops Peroni and Rosser to seventh
Peroni and Mark Rosser initially crossed the line in fifth for Team BRM.
However, officials handed the #268 Audi a five-second post-race penalty. Consequently, the Race 1 winners dropped behind Astuti and Currie, Leitch and Pires, and Evans and Schutte into seventh.
Will Davison and Renee Gracie secured eighth for OnlyFans Racing in the #181 Ferrari 296 GT3.
Meanwhile, Garnet Patterson and John-Paul Drake placed ninth in the #666 Team BRM Audi. Oscar Targett and Shane Smollen completed the top 10 for Kollosche AMG by Tigani Motorsport.
Ojeda and Lucchitti finish outside the top 10
Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti finished 11th after the opening-lap incident disrupted their race.
The Move My Wheels by Tigani Motorsport pairing completed all 51 laps but crossed the line 40.631s behind Feeney and Schumacher.
Their result followed second place in Saturday’s opening race. However, Sunday’s setback cost them an opportunity to remain at the front of the Pro-Am championship battle heading into the next round.
Youlden and Halstead win the Trophy Class
Luke Youlden and Nathan Halstead controlled the Trophy Class in the #71 AED Consulting by Tigani Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R.
The pair led their category throughout the race and completed 50 laps to finish 12th overall.
Paul Stokell and Matt Stoupas followed in the #24 KFC/Team MPC Audi. Saturday’s Trophy winners completed 49 laps and finished second in class.
The official final classification confirms Youlden and Halstead as the #71 pairing and Stokell and Stoupas aboard the #24 Audi.

Officials applied a five-second penalty to the #268 Team BRM Audi of Peroni and Rosser.
Buchan recorded the fastest lap with a 1:04.8293 in the Zagame Autosport Ferrari.
Feeney and Schumacher reclaim the Pro-Am lead
Feeney and Schumacher converted their strong opening stint and decisive late-race pass into their second victory of the season.
The result moved the reigning champions back to the top of the Pro-Am standings, replacing Rosser after his Race 1 victory and the #268 crew’s Race 2 penalty.
Meanwhile, Wood and Brooks completed an impressive recovery to second, while Buchan and Campbell finally converted their pace into a maiden podium.
GTWC Australia will return at Sydney Motorsport Park for the fifth round of the 2026 season from 18–20 September.
