The Fortec Motorsports driver recorded a 2m02.261s lap during the final session, placing him just 0.003s ahead of Elite Motorsport’s Matan Achituv. Thursday pacesetter Luke Hilton completed a top three separated by only 0.053s.
Cegielski takes control in final session
Cegielski produced the quickest lap of the two-day test during Friday afternoon’s final session. The Polish driver’s 2m02.261s effort beat Hilton’s Thursday benchmark by 0.267s and moved Fortec Motorsport to the top of the combined Friday classification.
Cegielski also held off a strong challenge from Achituv, with only three thousandths of a second separating the leading pair.
Achituv challenges for top spot
Achituv initially set the pace during Friday’s second session before improving again in the final test. The Israeli driver finished only 0.003s behind Cegielski and secured second place for Elite Motorsport.
Hilton followed in third for Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing. The British driver, who topped two of Thursday’s three sessions, ended Friday only 0.053s away from the outright pace.
Green leads opening session
Championship contender Fred Green set the fastest time during Friday morning’s opening session. However, the Elite Motorsport driver improved during Session 2 and used that lap to secure fourth in the combined order.
Green finished just 0.013s behind Hilton and 0.066s away from Cegielski’s benchmark.
Ingram Hill completes top five
Thomas Ingram Hill placed the second Fortec car inside the top five after recording his quickest lap during Session 3. He finished 0.045s behind Green and held a 0.182s advantage over Pace Performance’s John O’Donnell.
O’Donnell led the Pace contingent in sixth and edged Douglas Motorsport’s Conor Grant by 0.020s.
O’Grady takes eighth ahead of title rival Hallman
Championship leader Alex O’Grady finished eighth for KMR Sport. The Irish driver recorded a time only 0.017s slower than Grant and ended the day 0.330s behind Cegielski. Dayton Coulthard placed the second Douglas Motorsport car ninth, while Hillspeed title contender Enzo Hallman completed the top 10.
Only 0.626s separated the leading 10 drivers, while the top 13 all finished within one second of the fastest time.
Qualifying awaits at Silverstone
The GB4 field will return to the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit for Qualifying on Saturday at 11:20.
The 15-minute session will determine the starting orders for the opening two races, with each driver’s fastest lap setting the Race 1 grid and their second-fastest effort establishing the Race 2 order.
