Thomas Ingram Hill claimed his maiden GB4 Championship pole position with a dominant performance during Saturday morning’s Qualifying session at Silverstone in 2026.

The Fortec Motorsports driver produced the fastest lap of the weekend with a 2m01.166s, beating Elite Motorsport’s Fred Green by 0.379s. However, Green’s impressive consistency earned him Race 2 pole through the quickest second-fastest lap.

Ingram Hill established himself as the driver to beat during the middle stages of the 15-minute session, as he and Green exchanged fastest laps at the top of the order. The Fortec driver eventually found a significant improvement and posted a 2m01.166s, moving more than three tenths clear of his nearest challenger.

Green attempted to respond but could not match Ingram Hill’s outright pace. His 2m01.545s still secured second and a place alongside the Fortec contender on the Race 1 front row.

Ingram Hill set his fastest lap before Jamie Leverton spun at Copse and triggered a red flag. Officials did not restart the session, leaving the Fortec driver with a commanding maiden pole and preventing the rest of the field from completing any final attempts.

Luke Hilton qualified third for Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing after finishing 0.678s behind Ingram Hill. The Thursday testing pacesetter will share the second row with championship leader Alex O’Grady, who placed fourth for KMR Sport and ended the session 0.748s away from pole.

Conor Grant delivered his strongest Qualifying performance of the season by taking fifth for Douglas Motorsport. The British driver finished 0.080s behind O’Grady and edged Fortec’s Franciszek Cegielski, who completed the top six as the final contender within one second of Ingram Hill after topping Friday.

Pace Performance teammates Torrin Byrne and Josh McLean secured seventh and eighth respectively, although 0.364s separated the pair. Elite Motorsport’s Emmilio Valentino Del Grosso finished only 0.002s behind McLean in ninth, while Hillspeed title challenger Enzo Hallman completed the top 10.

Connor Willis narrowly missed the top 10 in the second Hillspeed entry, ahead of Scorpio Motorsport’s Archie Davies and Elite’s Matan Achituv. Dayton Coulthard placed 14th for Douglas Motorsport, while Pace Performance’s John O’Donnell completed the top 15.

Further back, William Rohan qualified 20th for Arden Motorsport ahead of his UK racing debut. Scorpio newcomer Faris Organji took 23rd, while Enzo Rujugiro completed the 29-driver Race 1 grid.

2026 GB4: Silverstone: Race 2 grid: Green’s consistency earns fourth pole

Although Green missed out on the fastest outright lap, his consistency secured him pole position for Race 2. The Elite driver recorded a second-best effort of 2m01.554s, only 0.009s slower than his quickest lap of the session.

That time placed Green 0.142s ahead of Ingram Hill in the second-fastest classification and handed him his fourth pole position of the season. The championship contender will therefore start from the front for Sunday’s opening contest, with Ingram Hill alongside him once again.

Hilton also maintained third place for the Race 2 grid, with his second-fastest lap placing him 0.445s behind Green. O’Grady secured another second-row start in fourth as he seeks to protect his advantage at the top of the Drivers’ Championship.

Cegielski improved to fifth in the second-fastest classification and will line up alongside Byrne, who took sixth for Pace Performance. McLean qualified seventh, while Grant dropped from fifth on the Race 1 grid to eighth for Race 2.

Willis secured ninth and placed his Hillspeed car one position ahead of teammate Hallman. Del Grosso fell outside the top 10 in 11th, while Coulthard, Achituv, Jordyn Martin and Romuald Bocquet completed the leading 15.

The red flag particularly affected drivers who had not recorded a representative second lap. O’Donnell, Archie Bullard and Davies consequently dropped to the final three positions on the Race 2 grid.
