Deagen Fairclough claimed the Omologato One to Watch Award for the first time in his GB3 Championship career after producing a perfect score across the opening two races at Silverstone in 2026.
The Hitech driver won both Race 1 and Race 2 at the British Grand Prix venue, collecting the maximum 70 points available towards the award. His double victory also ended Nikita Bedrin’s four-event run of Omologato honours at the start of the 2026 season.
Fairclough consequently secured a prize timepiece from Omologato Watches, GB3’s Official Timing Partner, after becoming the second different winner of the award this year.
Fairclough earns maximum score with Silverstone double
The Hitech driver placed himself in control of the award by converting pole position into victory in the opening race of the weekend.
The Brit then repeated that achievement in Race 2, holding off Xcel Motorsport’s Rowan Campbell-Pilling to complete his first double victory of the season. Those two wins gave Fairclough the maximum 70 points available across the first two races.
No other driver could therefore surpass his total, securing the award before the reverse-grid Race 3 took place later on Sunday.
The Silverstone double also marked the third occasion this season that a driver has won both of the opening two races at a GB3 event. Bedrin had previously achieved the feat at the opening Silverstone round and again at the Red Bull Ring.
Bedrin’s four-round winning streak comes to an end
Until the latest Silverstone round, Bedrin had claimed every Omologato One to Watch Award available during the 2026 season.
The VRD Racing driver opened the campaign with a perfect 70-point score at Silverstone before collecting 64 points at both Spa-Francorchamps and the Hungaroring. He then returned to the maximum 70-point mark at the Red Bull Ring.
Fairclough therefore became the first driver this season to prevent the championship leader from taking the prize. His two victories ensured Bedrin could not extend his streak to five consecutive events.
The result also reflected Fairclough’s strongest GB3 weekend of the year. Alongside his two race victories, he claimed his first two pole positions in the championship and moved into contention for the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup.
Omologato rewards top scorer across first two races
The Omologato One to Watch Award recognises the highest-scoring driver across the first two races of every GB3 Championship event.
Rather than considering the complete three-race weekend, the award focuses specifically on Race 1 and Race 2 results. Therefore, a driver who wins both contests can secure the maximum possible score of 70 points.
Fairclough achieved exactly that at Silverstone. His two victories left no opportunity for another competitor to exceed his total and guaranteed him the prize timepiece before Race 3 began.
The award adds another individual prize to GB3’s wider programme of incentives and recognises drivers who combine outright pace with consistency across the opening two contests of each event.

Fairclough now joins Bedrin on the list of 2026 winners after ending the VRD Racing driver’s dominance of the award during the opening four rounds.
