2026 Indy NXT Milwaukee | qualifying results; Pierson leads an unexpected grid in Milwaukee

Qualifying for round 15 of the 2026 Indy NXT by Firestone season has been completed at The Milwaukee Mile Speedway. View the full results here

Alessandro de Tullio is aiming to tie Pato O’Ward’s pole record today, with his 9th pole of the season. After finishing practice in 23rd, it’ll be a tall order for him.

In the championship battle, Tymek Kucarczyk sits third, behind Nikita Johnson and Enzo Fittipaldi. All three finished practice in the top 10, setting up a tight qualifying session.

Green flag for Indy NXT Qualifying at Milwaukee

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Carson Etter is up first, setting a two-lap average of 147.651 mph.

Nicolas Monteiro did not complete qualifying in his No. 4 AJ Foyt machine. Alexander Koreiba puts in an average of 149.302 over his two laps.

Roe crashes

Irish driver James Roe is the first driver in the wall, getting loose in turn two on his first lap. He almost saved it, but gets his nose in the wall.

The No. 57 of Colin Kaminsky is next on track, with two consistent laptimes putting him first with a 149.411.

Cusick Morgan Motorsports driver Nicolas Stati puts in a 151.723 average, jumping into first with a margin ahead of Kaminsky.

Bryce Aron slots into second with a 151.519. His Chip Ganassi Racing teammate Niels Koolen jumps to the top with a massive time of 153.094.

Indy 500 driver Jacob Abel puts in a time of 150.990, getting him into fourth at the moment.

Last year’s winner Salvador de Alba is next on track, returning for one last race this season. He slots into second with a 151.882, just over a second behind Koolen.

10 drivers complete, 13 to go

Scottish driver Seb Murray’s 152.063 puts his Andretti Global car into second place.

Abel Motorsports driver Max Garcia continues his strong run of form with a 152.010, slotting into third place.

The No. 29 Andretti Global of Josh Pierson jumps to the top with a 153.434. JM Correa puts in a 152.852 in his Cusick Morgan Motorsport machine and slots into third.

Cape Motorsports driver Matteo Nannini takes a spin on his out-lap, but keeps it out of the wall. He puts his No. 20 car into eighth.

After finishing first in practice, Jack Beeton puts his HMD Motorsports car into second. Myles Rowe slots into 11th with a 151.238.

de Tullio bins it

De Tullio put in a massive 154.231 for his first lap before getting loose at the start of his second. The AJ Foyt driver hit the wall in turn two, putting a stop to his chase for pole.

The top five in the championship fight for pole

Lochie Hughes puts his No. 26 Andretti Global into fifth with a 152.263. Teammate Max Taylor slots just ahead of him with a 152.747.

Polish driver Kucharcyzk jumps up to second with a 153.382. Championship rival Johnson’s time of 151.350 only gets him to 14th.

Fittipaldi is the last to set a time and puts down a 152.336, enough for seventh.

Andretti Global driver Pierson will lead the field to green, ahead of Kucharczyk and Beeton. Indy NXT races at Milwaukee Mile at 10 am local time tomorrow.
