Round 13 of the 2026 Indy NXT season has been completed at Nashville, view the full race results here.

In qualifying, Matteo Nannini beat Alessandro de Tullio to pole position. Championship contender Nikita Johnson was P3 on the grid, he was 20 points behind Enzo Fittipaldi heading into it. The Brazilian was P14 on the grid, with his HMD Motorsports teammate Tymek Kucharczyk down in 17th as the top 2 in the standings had a difficult Saturday.

Green flag

Having held the lead off the line, Matteo Nannini had his teammate Nikita Johnson behind him as he cleared de Tullio. Niels Koolen, who started P5, ended up in the pits early doors.

Caution

On lap 6, a caution was thrown. Jordan Missig lost the rear in turn 4, and JM Correa hit him as he had nowhere to go. Both drivers were unharmed but there was significant damage to both machines. Before the yellow came out, Rowe had overtaken de Tullio for 3rd.

The race resumed nine tours later and it was a brawl out front. Nannini gamely held off Johnson, before Myles Rowe got a massive run to take the lead at turn 1. Just before another caution appeared, the #20 got back ahead of the #99.

Kucharczyk sustains damage as Hughes and Rowe touch

Having worked his way up to 13th, the Polish driver boxed with front wing damage, putting him two laps down. He made contact with teammate and title rival Enzo Fittipaldi.

Lochie Hughes then started to work his way up, taking 3rd from Myles Rowe. The #99 made contact with the left rear of the #26, with both lucky to avoid any significant damage.

On lap 36, the Australian used the high line to sweep around Johnson for 2nd, with Rowe getting down the inside seven tours later. Further back, Max Taylor passed Enzo Fittipaldi for 10th.

As the race went on, Hughes started to struggle on tyres, with Rowe and Johnson clearing him, and he eventually slumped to P7. The #28 and #29 Andrettis were on the rampage, as Taylor and Pierson worked there way up to 5th and 6th with eight laps to go.

A dream day for Cape Motorsports

On lap 59, Nikita Johnson got a great run on Myles Rowe and swept around the outside into turn 1 for 2nd.

Out front, Matteo Nannini drove off into the distance in the second half of the race, taking the flag by 5.6s. Nikita Johnson reclaimed the points lead with a battling drive to 2nd. Myles Rowe completed the podium.

As for the other title contenders, Enzo Fittipaldi was P11, with Tymek Kucharczyk 18th.
