Leonardo Colavita and Gilles Renmans will make their International GT Open debuts together as AF Corse adds another Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo in association with Double TT Racing.
The young pairing brings together two drivers already familiar with Ferrari machinery and each other. Colavita and Renmans currently share Double TT Racing’s Ferrari in the 2026 Italian GT Endurance Championship alongside Ibrahim Badawi.
Their GT Open entry continues AF Corse’s tradition of providing opportunities for emerging GT drivers, while extending the relationship between the Italian operation and Double TT Racing.
Colavita brings Italian GT title-winning experience
Colavita enters the programme as the reigning Italian GT Endurance GT3 Pro-Am champion.
The 21-year-old won the 2025 class title alongside Badawi and David Vidales with AF Corse, adding championship success to a season that included podium finishes at Monza and Mugello. ACI Sport officially recognised the trio as the 2025 GT3 Pro-Am Endurance champions.
He has subsequently remained within the Ferrari structure for 2026, joining Renmans and Badawi in Double TT Racing’s Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo for another Italian GT Endurance campaign.
The step into GT Open will therefore build on Colavita’s growing experience in GT3 machinery rather than representing an entirely new environment.
Renmans steps up after Ferrari Challenge experience
Renmans will also make his GT Open debut after developing through Ferrari competition.
The 25-year-old Belgian has competed in Ferrari Challenge Europe and already possesses endurance racing experience. He joined Double TT Racing for its 2026 Italian GT Endurance programme, partnering Colavita and Badawi in the team’s new Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.
Both drivers have also competed in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, giving them experience of multiclass endurance racing alongside their Ferrari programmes.
Their existing relationship should help ease the transition into GT Open, where two-driver crews and shorter race formats place greater emphasis on outright pace and execution across each stint.
AF Corse and Double TT Racing strengthen collaboration
The entry also expands the cooperation between AF Corse and Double TT Racing.
Double TT Racing has continued to increase its involvement in high-level GT racing after previously competing across multiple categories of the Italian GT Championship. Its 2026 programme moved the team into the GT3 Pro-Am class with the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.
AF Corse, meanwhile, remains one of Ferrari’s most prominent customer racing operations and already has multiple entries competing across the 2026 GT Open season.
The new collaboration gives Colavita and Renmans another opportunity to develop within the Ferrari ecosystem while exposing them to a championship that regularly visits major European Grand Prix circuits.
Not Colavita’s first GT Open appearance
Although the new pairing represents Renmans’ GT Open debut, Colavita has previously appeared in the championship.
He joined Badawi in an AF Corse Ferrari for the 2025 Monza GT Open 500, where the pair made a one-off appearance shortly after securing their Italian GT Pro-Am title. They qualified 15th and finished 15th overall.
The forthcoming programme therefore gives Colavita another opportunity in the series, this time alongside Renmans and with considerably more GT3 experience accumulated since his previous start.
For Renmans, it represents another step in a progression that has taken him from Ferrari Challenge competition into Italian GT and now GT Open.
With both drivers still in the early stages of their GT careers, the AF Corse and Double TT Racing entry adds another youthful pairing to a championship already featuring several emerging talents.
