The 2026 Michelin 24H SERIES European Series will conclude at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from 18–20 September, with an initial 40-car entry confirmed for a finale that will decide several championships.
Four rounds across Mugello, Spa-Francorchamps, Paul Ricard and the Nürburgring have left several class battles unresolved. GetSpeed Team JR286 heads the overall GT3 standings by only 10 points after claiming its maiden victory at the most recent round in Germany, while the 992 and TCE-TCX championships also remain open.
Barcelona offers more points than any previous event this season. Teams can score half points after 12 hours before the full allocation becomes available at the end of the 24-hour race, leaving as many as 60 points available across the weekend.
GetSpeed Team JR286 takes 10-point advantage into finale
GetSpeed Team JR286 enters Barcelona in control of the overall GT3 championship after a dramatic turnaround at the Nürburgring.
The No. 286 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO scored 40 points through victory in Germany, taking its total to 102 and moving it ahead of Saintéloc Junior Team. The Audi squad remains its nearest challenger with 92 points, while HOFOR Racing sits third on 88.
GetSpeed Team PCX Racing follows only two points behind HOFOR on 86, with reigning European Series champion Proton Competition fifth on 80. Viper Niza Racing holds sixth with 76, while Ajith RedAnt Racing remains mathematically involved on 72.
The championship leader also heads GT3-AM. GetSpeed Team JR286 has accumulated 130 class points, only six more than HOFOR Racing. Viper Niza sits third on 116 and Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport follows on 110, ensuring the same Mercedes that leads outright also faces another close championship fight within its class.
With intermediate points available at the halfway stage, teams cannot simply focus on reaching Sunday afternoon. The classification after 12 hours could already produce significant championship swings before the second half of the race begins.
Five Mercedes-AMGs set for Barcelona
Mercedes-AMG holds a particularly strong presence among the initial GT3 entries.
Alongside championship leader GetSpeed Team JR286, the manufacturer will have the sister GetSpeed Team PCX Racing entry, which heads the GT3 Pro-Am standings. HOFOR Racing, Viper Niza Racing and Ajith RedAnt Racing complete a five-car Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO contingent.
GetSpeed Team PCX leads Pro-Am with 136 points after scoring strongly at every round. Proton Competition remains only 12 points behind on 124, while Ajith RedAnt follows another four points back with 120. Saintéloc Junior Team sits fourth on 112 despite missing the Nürburgring round.
HOFOR provides another major threat after winning outright at Paul Ricard. The Swiss squad used strategy to beat the Pro-Am GetSpeed Team PCX entry there and now heads to Barcelona third in the overall championship while remaining firmly involved in GT3-AM.
The range of championship positions occupied by Mercedes-AMG teams means the marque could influence almost every major GT3 battle across the 24 hours.
Saintéloc leads Audi challenge
Saintéloc Junior Team represents the closest immediate threat to GetSpeed’s overall championship lead.
The No. 18 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II began its European campaign strongly by winning at Mugello before continuing to score heavily at Spa and Paul Ricard. Its 92-point total leaves it 10 behind GetSpeed Team JR286 entering the final race.
Two more Audi entries feature on the initial Barcelona list. Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport returns while sitting fourth in GT3-AM and eighth overall, while Juta Racing adds another R8 LMS GT3 EVO II.
Saintéloc also remains third in the Pro-Am championship, creating another route to silverware during the finale.
Porsche adds Nürburgring surprise package Up2Race
Porsche’s Barcelona entry contains both established championship contenders and teams returning to the series.
Up2Race will make its second European Series appearance after producing an immediate impact at the Nürburgring. The team led overnight during the first part of the 12-hour race before eventually finishing second overall on its championship debut.
Proton Competition also returns with its Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO. The reigning European Series champion sits fifth overall on 80 points and second in Pro-Am with 124, leaving it within range of both championships.
Car Collection Motorsport returns to the series at Barcelona, while Mühlner Motorsport will step beyond its regular 992 programme by also entering a Porsche 911 GT3 R in GT3.
The Porsche contingent therefore combines championship experience with a team in Up2Race that demonstrated at the Nürburgring that it can immediately challenge for an overall victory.
Ferrari, Aston Martin and BMW add variety to GT3 field
Three further manufacturers complete a diverse GT3 entry.
Era Motorsport will bring its Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO after appearing at three of the opening four rounds. The team currently holds fifth in Pro-Am with 74 points.
E2P Racing provides the home representation with an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO. The Spanish squad sits ninth overall and fifth in GT3-AM before competing at its home event.
HAAS RT returns with its BMW M4 GT3 EVO, while Gamota Racing will make its Michelin 24H SERIES debut with another BMW. The Slovakian operation therefore joins the championship at its longest and final race of the season.
Red Camel-Jordans.nl holds 24-point 992 lead
The 992 championship presents another intriguing title fight despite Red Camel-Jordans.nl carrying a 24-point advantage into Barcelona.
Red Camel has 140 points after winning at Paul Ricard and the Nürburgring. Mühlner Motorsport follows on 116 and has also claimed two victories during the campaign.
However, the championship’s dropped-score system adds another dimension. Mühlner failed to score at the Nürburgring following a high-speed accident, meaning the No. 921 crew has no points from that event to discard when final championship totals are calculated. Red Camel’s apparent 24-point cushion is therefore less straightforward than the headline standings suggest.
HRT Performance sits third overall in 992 with 88 points and simultaneously leads 992-AM. Its No. 928 entry has 112 class points, only four more than RPM Racing. Chazel Technologie Course follows on 104 and the No. 888 Seblajoux Racing Porsche remains another two points behind.
HRT will field three cars at Barcelona. Alongside the No. 928, its No. 930 returns while QMMF by HRT Performance brings back the No. 974 that won 992-AM at both Mugello and Spa.
RPM Racing and both Seblajoux entries also feature on the initial list, together with Van Berlo by CP Motorsport, Holmgaard Motorsport and Team Sorg Rennsport.
Three-car GT4 field includes two season newcomers
Three GT4 cars currently feature on the Barcelona entry.
Circuit Toys returns with its Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 after claiming class victory at Paul Ricard. The squad will be joined by two entries making their first European Series appearances of 2026.
CP Motorsport will field a BMW M4 GT4, while Team Sorg Rennsport adds a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.
The smaller field still gives the final round a three-manufacturer GT4 contest, with Toyota, BMW and Porsche represented.
Four points separate Not Only Motorsport and asBest Racing
The closest headline championship fight comes in TCE-TCX, where Not Only Motorsport and asBest Racing are separated by only four points.
Not Only Motorsport leads with 152 after scoring 36, 40, 36 and 40 points across the first four rounds. The asBest Racing No. 102 SEAT Leon Cup Racer follows on 148 after producing the opposite sequence of 40, 36, 40 and 32.
That consistency reflects how evenly matched the two teams have been. They have shared the victories across the opening four events, leaving Barcelona to decide the championship.
A nine-car TCE-TCX field should complicate that direct battle. asBest also enters its Cupra TCR DSG, currently third in the standings, together with its Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS. J-Mec Engineering returns with its BMW M3 E46.
CP Motorsport and Stanco&Tanner Motorsport add two more Cupra TCR DSG entries on their season debuts, while THRW Honda Racing brings a pair of Honda Civic Type R FL5s.
With considerably more cars capable of taking points away from the leading pair, a four-point margin offers almost no protection across a 24-hour finale.
24H Barcelona weekend schedule
The build-up begins before the official race weekend with two CR Track Days on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September.
Friday brings two hours of Free Practice from 12:00 to 14:00 before Qualifying begins. TCE, GT4, GTX and 992 competitors contest three 15-minute sessions from 16:05, while the three GT3 Qualifying segments start at 17:15.
A 90-minute Night Practice follows from 20:00 to 21:30, providing teams with their only dedicated running in darkness before the race.
The grid forms at 10:45 on Saturday before the Michelin 24H Barcelona begins at 12:00 local time. The race then runs continuously until midday on Sunday 20 September.

Barcelona set to decide multiple championships
Four races have produced four different competitive pictures heading into the European Series finale.
GetSpeed Team JR286 transformed its season with Nürburgring victory and now holds a 10-point overall GT3 advantage, but Saintéloc, HOFOR and several other established contenders remain close enough to capitalise on any problems during the 24 hours.
The class championships offer similarly narrow margins. GetSpeed Team PCX leads Proton by 12 in Pro-Am, GetSpeed Team JR286 holds only six over HOFOR in GT3-AM, and HRT Performance leads RPM Racing by four in 992-AM.
Red Camel’s 24-point 992 lead appears stronger, but Mühlner’s lack of a Nürburgring score to drop keeps the championship complicated. TCE-TCX is even closer, with Not Only Motorsport holding only four points over asBest Racing.
The 40-car initial entry therefore arrives in Barcelona with far more at stake than simply winning the longest European Series race of the year. With points awarded at both 12 and 24 hours, the championships can change twice during the finale before the 2026 European Series reaches its conclusion.
