Qualifying for round 13 of the 2026 F1 season has been completed at the Italian GP at Monza, view the full results here.
In FP3 earlier in the afternoon, George Russell led the times as the Mercedes driver continued to look very fast. Lewis Hamilton was P2 ahead of Verstappen, Antonelli, Norris and Leclerc. Arvid Lindblad was the lead midfield driver in 7th, with both Alpine drivers in the top 10 behind Oscar Piastri. Audi were close to them despite their engine deficit this year.
Liam Lawson was outside the top 10, while Yuki Tsunoda was P15. Aston Martin and Cadillac faced a big battle between each other to avoid being slowest on pace in Q1. Haas and Williams were set to be the teams who had a fight to get out of the opening segment.
Tows would be an even bigger factor in qualifying at Monza this year as the lack of energy on the long straights sees them losing top speed. Kimi Antonelli will be helping George Russell as the Italian starts at the back on Sunday because of engine component penalties. Alex Albon and Liam Lawson will be joining him as they are in the same boat.
