Rui-Heng Yeh, Alessandro Famularo and Diego de la Torre shared the victories as the 2026 Euroformula Open season reached its sixth round at Hockenheim, where dry conditions across Friday and Saturday gave way to a wet conclusion on Sunday.
Championship leader Yeh established the early benchmark by topping the combined Free Practice classification for Team Motopark, before teammate Jesse Carrasquedo claimed his second pole position of the season by just 0.027s. Yeh responded immediately in Race 1, beating Carrasquedo away from the front row and controlling the race to secure his seventh victory of the campaign.
Famularo then delivered BVM Racing’s victory in Sunday morning’s reversed-grid Race 2, passing both front-row starters during the opening lap before surviving a Safety Car restart and sustained pressure from behind. De la Torre completed the weekend by mastering the wet conditions in Race 3, leading Wiktor Dobrzański and Yeh home for another all-Motopark podium.
Yeh consequently leaves Germany with 328 points and an 85-point advantage over de la Torre, who moves into second. Carrasquedo climbs to 221 points in third, while the absent Everett Stack drops from second to fourth on 211. Motopark extends its Teams’ Championship advantage to 101 points, while Javier Herrera’s Rookie lead over Dobrzański narrows to seven.
2026 Euroformula Open: Round 6: Hockenheim: Free Practice
Hockenheim welcomed the Euroformula Open field with dry late-summer conditions on Friday, although the sixth round featured a reduced nine-car entry. Stack, Aaron Ferrazzano and Divy Nandan did not compete, while Maya Weug returned to single-seaters with BVM Racing and began adapting to the Dallara F324.
Herrera set the pace during the opening session. The BVM Racing driver recorded a 1:33.189 to finish 0.692s clear of de la Torre, with Yeh another 0.034s behind in third. Dobrzański took fourth ahead of Carrasquedo, while Famularo, Jan Koller, Weug and Lorenzo Castillo completed the nine-car order.
Every driver improved during the afternoon, when Yeh moved to the head of the combined classification. The championship leader lowered the benchmark to 1:32.810, but Dobrzański came within just 0.024s of his Motopark teammate. Herrera remained competitive in third, 0.174s from Yeh, while Carrasquedo completed the top four.
Koller finished fifth ahead of Famularo and de la Torre. Castillo took eighth, while Weug ended her first day back in single-seaters ninth and 1.070s away from the fastest time as she continued adapting to BVM Racing’s car.

2026 Euroformula Open: Round 6: Hockenheim: Qualifying
Carrasquedo took over from Yeh when the field returned for Qualifying on Saturday morning, producing what he described afterwards as a near-perfect lap to secure his second pole position of the season.
The Mexican recorded a 1:31.936, but Yeh ensured another closely matched Motopark front row by finishing only 0.027s behind. Koller delivered his strongest qualifying result of the season in third, 0.199s away from pole, while Dobrzański completed an all-Motopark top four.
Famularo led BVM Racing’s challenge in fifth after holding second earlier in the session. De la Torre qualified sixth ahead of Herrera, while Weug continued closing the deficit during her return weekend and took eighth. Castillo completed the grid in ninth.
The session therefore gave Motopark a significant advantage before Race 1, with four of its cars occupying the first two rows and six of its drivers inside the nine-car field.

2026 Euroformula Open: Round 6: Hockenheim: Race 1
Carrasquedo’s pole advantage disappeared almost immediately as Yeh produced the stronger launch from second. The championship leader challenged into the opening corner and emerged ahead, after which he began controlling the race from the front.
Carrasquedo remained close enough to prevent Yeh from relaxing, but he never moved into a position to launch a serious challenge. The pair ultimately remained separated by only 0.665s after 18 laps, giving Yeh his seventh victory of the season and another substantial addition to his championship lead.
De la Torre also made rapid progress from sixth. The Mexican gained three positions across the opening two laps to reach third and complete an all-Motopark podium.
Behind them, the midfield produced considerably more action. Dobrzański ran third at the end of the opening lap before de la Torre and Famularo moved ahead. He then became involved in a three-car incident with Koller and Castillo on Lap 4 and sustained damage, although he continued to the finish.
Famularo consequently emerged in fourth and finished 14.123s behind Yeh as the leading BVM Racing driver. Koller originally crossed the line fifth and secured the Rookie Trophy victory, although a five-second penalty for contact at Turn 8 increased his final deficit to 21.399s.
Castillo finished sixth ahead of Dobrzański, with Weug eighth. Herrera never properly joined the contest after an engine sensor issue forced him into the pits at the end of the formation lap, leaving him unclassified.
Carrasquedo added the fastest lap to his runner-up result with a 1:32.833 on Lap 16.

2026 Euroformula Open: Round 6: Hockenheim: Race 2
Sunday morning’s reversed grid placed Castillo and Koller on the front row, but Famularo transformed his second-row starting position into the lead during an assertive opening lap.
Castillo initially held the advantage over Koller through the opening corner, but Famularo passed both before the completion of Lap 1. The two Motopark Rookies continued fighting behind him until contact on Lap 2 sent both off the circuit and ended their races.
The incident brought out the Safety Car, with Famularo leading de la Torre, Carrasquedo, Yeh and Dobrzański when racing resumed on Lap 5. The BVM Racing driver handled the restart and remained in control as the positions behind him continued to change.
Carrasquedo passed de la Torre for second two laps after the restart and began reducing Famularo’s advantage, but he ultimately finished 0.440s behind. Yeh also found a way past de la Torre and reached third, while Herrera recovered from his Race 1 disappointment to take fourth and the Rookie Trophy victory.
De la Torre slipped to fifth as the race developed, with Dobrzański sixth and Weug seventh. Only seven drivers reached the classified finish following the early exits of Castillo and Koller.
Famularo’s victory marked his second of the season and gave BVM Racing its first outright win of the Hockenheim weekend. Yeh nevertheless collected another strong championship result and added the fastest lap with a 1:32.718.

2026 Euroformula Open: Round 6: Hockenheim: Race 3
Rain transformed the final race of the weekend and produced an entirely different challenge from the dry running that had preceded it.
De la Torre started from pole on the reversed grid and faced particularly difficult conditions as the race began behind the Safety Car. Officials declared the race wet and mandated rain tyres, but BVM Racing placed Famularo and Herrera on slicks before both returned to the pits while the Safety Car remained deployed.
Both BVM drivers then left the pit lane while the exit light remained red. Officials consequently showed black flags to cars 11 and 3 and disqualified Famularo and Herrera for the wet-tyre infringement and failure to respect the pit-lane exit lights.
At the front, de la Torre handled the lack of visibility and reference points to retain control from the moment racing properly began. Dobrzański initially had to defend against Yeh, but the Polish Rookie gradually established second and then began reducing de la Torre’s advantage.
The gap fell to just 1.082s by the chequered flag, but de la Torre remained ahead to claim his second victory of the season. Dobrzański secured second overall and the Rookie Trophy win, while Yeh completed another all-Motopark podium and strengthened his championship position further.
Carrasquedo took fourth, 5.241s behind his victorious teammate. Weug produced her best result of her return weekend in fifth for BVM Racing, while Castillo finished sixth. Koller had run fourth during the opening laps but eventually dropped to seventh.
Yeh recorded his second fastest lap of the weekend with a 1:48.618 on Lap 11.

2026 Euroformula Open: Standings after Round 6
Yeh strengthened his position considerably at Hockenheim despite sharing the victories with Famularo and de la Torre. He arrived on 271 points and added 57 across the weekend through victory, third place twice and two fastest laps, increasing his total to 328.
The battle behind him changed more substantially. Stack entered Hockenheim second on 211 points but did not compete, allowing de la Torre and Carrasquedo to move ahead.
De la Torre enjoyed the larger gain of the two. Third in Race 1, fifth in Race 2 and victory in the wet finale took him from 193 to 243 points and second in the standings. However, Yeh’s own strong weekend means the championship leader still holds an 85-point advantage.
Carrasquedo also scored heavily without adding another victory. His pole position supplied one point before he finished second in each of the first two races and fourth in Race 3. He consequently climbs from 171 to 221 and takes third, 22 points behind de la Torre.
Stack falls to fourth on his unchanged 211 points. Famularo’s Race 2 victory takes him from 138 to 175 in fifth, while Herrera moves to 167 despite a weekend in which he failed to classify in Race 1 and was disqualified from the finale.
Dobrzański enjoyed another productive round with sixth in Race 2 and second in Race 3, taking his total from 100 to 132. Castillo reaches 67, while Koller moves to 59. Weug scores 20 points during her return weekend and enters the standings in 14th.

Herrera’s Rookie lead reduced to seven points
Herrera retains the Rookie Championship lead after Hockenheim, but Dobrzański substantially reduced the gap between them.
The BVM Racing driver entered the round 21 points clear after reaching 116 at Paul Ricard. However, his difficult Race 1 and Race 3 limited his scoring opportunities in Germany. Fourth overall and first Rookie in Race 2 provided his strongest result, taking him to 126.
Dobrzański added 24 Rookie points across the weekend and now sits on 119. His Race 3 runner-up finish also delivered a class victory, leaving only seven points between the leading pair with two rounds remaining.
Castillo remains third after increasing his total from 66 to 82, while Koller moves from 41 to 57. The Czech driver won the Rookie classification in Race 1 before his difficult Sunday.
The Hockenheim results therefore significantly tighten a Rookie title fight that appeared to favour Herrera much more strongly after Paul Ricard.

Motopark opens 101-point Teams’ Championship advantage
Motopark strengthened an already substantial Teams’ Championship lead by scoring heavily in all three races.
Yeh led a Motopark podium sweep in Race 1, while Carrasquedo and Yeh finished second and third behind Famularo in Race 2. De la Torre then headed another all-Motopark podium in the wet finale, with Dobrzański and Yeh completing the top three.
Those results take Motopark from 214 points after Paul Ricard to 264. BVM Racing adds 20 and reaches 163, leaving the German team with a 101-point advantage heading into the closing two rounds.
DRIVEX remains third on 64 after missing Hockenheim, while Neri Autosport also remains unchanged on 38.

Yeh extends championship advantage as Hockenheim produces three winners
Hockenheim continued the pattern established at Paul Ricard by producing three different winners across the weekend, although Motopark remained the dominant force overall.
Yeh converted a front-row start into his seventh victory of the year on Saturday and added two more podiums on Sunday. Carrasquedo missed another win despite taking pole but scored consistently with second, second and fourth, while de la Torre ended the round with a standout wet-weather victory.
Famularo prevented a Motopark sweep by delivering BVM Racing’s Race 2 success, making decisive progress from the second row on the opening lap and controlling the race after the Safety Car restart. His Sunday afternoon ended very differently when the wet-race tyre and pit-exit infringement resulted in disqualification.
Dobrzański also strengthened his Rookie title challenge through his Race 3 runner-up finish, while Weug marked her single-seater return with improving results across the weekend and a fifth-place finish in the rain.
The championship picture changed most noticeably behind Yeh. Stack’s absence allowed both de la Torre and Carrasquedo to move ahead, but neither substantially reduced the leader’s control of the standings. Yeh now holds 328 points, 85 more than de la Torre and 107 more than Carrasquedo.
Motopark has also stretched its Teams’ Championship lead beyond 100 points, although the Rookie contest has moved in the opposite direction. Herrera now leads Dobrzański by only seven points after the Pole’s strong Hockenheim weekend.
With Monza and Barcelona remaining, Yeh has moved another step towards the 2026 Euroformula Open title, while the fight behind him and the Rookie battle remain considerably less settled.
