Arden Motorsport’s Michael Koh claimed his maiden GB4 victory in the final race of the 2026 season at Brands Hatch, resisting sustained pressure from Elite Motorsport’s Matan Achituv to convert reverse-grid pole into his first championship podium.

Koh led all 14 laps as light rain threatened to complicate the season finale, with Achituv remaining close throughout. Hillspeed’s Connor Willis joined the leading pair in an increasingly tight three-car battle but could not find a way past, leaving Koh to cross the line 0.634s clear of Achituv and only 0.952s ahead of Willis.

The amended classification reshaped several positions further down the order after penalties for track limits, an incorrect starting position and causing collisions. Enzo Hallman consequently moved up to fourth and secured third in the final Drivers’ Championship standings, while Fred Green completed a strong recovery from 12th to fifth and newly crowned champion Alex O’Grady finished sixth.

Koh leads tightly packed front three

Koh started from pole after the top 12 from the conventional-grid races were reversed for the finale. The Arden Motorsport driver faced challenging conditions before the start, with light rain falling around Brands Hatch and threatening to add another variable to the final race of the campaign.

Despite the conditions, Koh retained the lead ahead of Achituv and Willis and quickly established the three-car group that would control the battle at the front. Achituv rarely allowed Koh to build more than half a second of breathing room, while Willis remained close enough to threaten both drivers ahead throughout the 20-minute contest.

The pressure continued through the closing stages, but Koh refused to make the mistake Achituv needed. His 1m26.201s best lap came on lap 10, while Achituv went marginally quicker with a 1m26.233s on lap eight. Willis produced a 1m26.082s on lap 13 as the Hillspeed driver attempted to find a late route into the top two.

Koh ultimately completed the 14 laps in 20m19.816s to secure his first GB4 victory and first podium by 0.634s. Achituv held second by only 0.318s from Willis, leaving the entire podium covered by less than one second at the chequered flag.

The result completed a strong Brands Hatch weekend for Achituv after he had also finished just 0.009s away from Conor Grant when Friday Testing took place on the shorter Indy circuit. Koh, meanwhile, saved his strongest result of the season for the final opportunity.

Green charges through the field

With O’Grady having already secured the Drivers’ Championship in Race 2, attention in the finale shifted towards the individual race victory and the remaining championship positions. Green nevertheless continued the form that had allowed him to put pressure on O’Grady throughout the Brands Hatch weekend.

The Elite Motorsport driver had entered the finale after converting his double Qualifying pole into victory in Race 1, before winning again in Race 2. However, O’Grady’s second-place finish in both races ensured the KMR Sport driver secured the championship before the reverse-grid finale.

Green consequently started Race 3 from 12th but immediately began progressing through the field. His recovery eventually brought him into direct combat with O’Grady, who had started two positions further forward in 10th.

Their final on-track battle of the season went Green’s way. O’Grady first challenged Dayton Coulthard before Green attacked the newly crowned champion around the outside at Westfield, completing an ambitious move and continuing his progress towards the front.

Green eventually crossed the line close behind the leading group and inherited fifth in the amended classification. His seven-position recovery was the largest gain among the drivers who retained their finishing positions without a post-race grid-place penalty, while his 1m25.495s on lap 12 earned the fastest lap of the race.

The performance brought an aggressive conclusion to a weekend in which Green had done almost everything possible to keep his title challenge alive. He arrived at Brands Hatch facing a 49-point deficit to O’Grady but took both Qualifying poles and won the opening two races before recovering through the field in Race 3. O’Grady’s consistency across the first two contests nevertheless proved enough to settle the championship before the finale.

Hallman secures third in championship

Behind the leading trio, the fight for third in the championship remained unresolved entering the final race. Hallman, Ingram Hill and Coulthard had all arrived at Brands Hatch within 13 points of one another, having initially formed part of the five-driver mathematical title fight. Their title chances disappeared during the weekend, but the final championship podium remained available.

Hallman produced the strongest final result of the three. The Hillspeed driver started ninth and moved forward during the race before the amended classification elevated him to fourth, 2.307s behind Koh. Green followed only 0.377s behind in fifth, while O’Grady and Ingram Hill completed the top seven.

The result proved enough for Hallman to secure third in the final Drivers’ Championship, edging Ingram Hill by only a small margin after 21 races. The result also completed a strong finale for Hillspeed, with Willis taking third in the race and Hallman securing the final championship podium position.

Penalties reshape the final classification

Several post-race penalties substantially altered the order published immediately after the chequered flag. Franciszek Cegielski had initially finished ahead of much of the championship-leading group after starting sixth, but the Fortec Motorsports driver received a five-place penalty for causing a collision. He consequently dropped to ninth in the amended classification.

Torrin Byrne received the same five-place penalty for causing a collision and fell to 10th, while Demitri Nolan, Josh McLean and Romuald Bocquet also received five-place penalties for the same offence. Nolan consequently dropped to 16th, McLean to 18th and Bocquet to 21st.

Track limits also affected the final order. Coulthard received a five-second penalty and dropped to eighth, while Grant received five seconds plus an additional 10-second penalty for further track-limit infringements. The Douglas Motorsport rookie consequently fell to 12th despite having run considerably higher on the road. Caitlyn McDaniel also received five seconds for exceeding track limits.

Emmilio Valentino Del Grosso received a 10-second penalty for being out of position at the start, dropping him to 11th. Those changes promoted Hallman, Green, O’Grady and Ingram Hill within the amended result and substantially changed the midfield order from the provisional classification.

Koh closes 2026 with breakthrough victory

The penalties did not affect the battle for victory, leaving Koh with a maiden win earned under sustained pressure. Achituv remained within striking distance throughout the race and Willis closed the pair during the final stages, but neither could force the Arden Motorsport driver into an error.

Koh therefore ended the 2026 GB4 season with the strongest result of his campaign, turning his first pole opportunity into both his first podium and first victory. Achituv secured second for Elite Motorsport, while Willis completed the final podium of the season for Hillspeed.

Further back, the final race brought the remaining championship battles to a conclusion. Green’s charge to fifth provided one final demonstration of the pace that had made him O’Grady’s closest challenger, but the KMR Sport driver had already completed the primary objective by securing the title in Race 2. Hallman’s fourth place then settled the remaining position on the championship podium, bringing the 2026 campaign to a close.
