Nikita Bedrin remains at the top of the 2026 GB3 Championship after Round 7 at Brands Hatch, but he will have to wait until the Barcelona finale to attempt to secure the Drivers’ Championship after a costly penalty in the final race.
Bedrin arrived at Brands Hatch with a 79-point advantage over Martin Molnar after Round 6 at Donington Park. Two third-place finishes initially strengthened his position, but a false-start penalty dropped him to 11th in Race 3 and prevented him from sealing the title with one round remaining. He nevertheless increases his total from 392 to 445 points and leaves Brands Hatch with an 89-point advantage over his new closest challenger, Deagen Fairclough.
Fairclough produced the largest move among the championship frontrunners after completing a third consecutive double-win weekend. He climbs from fourth to second on 356 points, only one ahead of Lucas Fluxá. Fluxá remains third after claiming his first victory of the season in Race 3, while Molnar drops from second to fourth after a difficult finale. Maxim Rehm remains fifth, with Rowan Campbell-Pilling strengthening sixth after another podium.
The Teams’ Championship also changed significantly during the penultimate round. Rodin Motorsport extends its advantage over VRD Racing from four to 16 points, while Hitech jumps ahead of Xcel Motorsport into third after Fairclough’s victories and a double podium for Yuhao Fu and Kanato Le in Race 3.
Drivers’ Championship: Bedrin’s advantage grows to 89 points
Bedrin entered Brands Hatch on 392 points after his advantage fell from 103 to 79 at Donington. He immediately returned to the podium in Race 1, finishing third behind Fairclough and Rehm, before taking another third place in Race 2 behind Fairclough and Campbell-Pilling. Those results placed the VRD Racing driver in a position to potentially secure the championship before the season finale.
However, Race 3 changed the picture. Starting 10th, Bedrin fought his way forward and crossed the line seventh, but officials handed him a 10-second penalty after he moved on the grid before the lights went out. The sanction dropped him to 11th and ensured the championship would continue to Barcelona. Even so, Bedrin adds 53 points across the weekend and moves from 392 to 445. His advantage over the nearest driver increases from 79 to 89 points because Molnar endured an even more difficult weekend relative to those around him.
Fairclough surges into second after third consecutive double
Fairclough once again produced the defining championship performance and moves from fourth to second in the standings. The Hitech driver arrived on 268 points after scoring 166 across Silverstone and Donington, and his Brands Hatch pace appeared immediately as he secured both pole positions before converting them into another pair of victories.
His Race 1 win came by more than 14 seconds over Rehm, while he dominated Race 2 by 7.432s over Campbell-Pilling. Race 3 placed Fairclough 12th on the reverse grid, but he continued his strong weekend by carving through the field and climbing to fifth in the amended classification, including a late move on Rehm at Paddock Hill Bend.
Fairclough therefore adds another 88 points, exactly matching his Donington haul, and moves from 268 to 356. He has now scored 254 points across the past three rounds after sitting 10th on only 102 following the Red Bull Ring. More importantly, he climbs past both Molnar and Fluxá to become Bedrin’s closest championship rival, with only one point separating Fairclough and Fluxá heading into Barcelona.
Fluxá remains third after maiden victory
Fluxá retains third but moves substantially closer to the drivers around him after taking his first victory of 2026. The Xcel Motorsport driver entered Brands Hatch on 305 points, only eight behind Molnar, but his opening two races produced more modest returns. He recovered from 13th on the Race 1 grid to finish ninth before taking seventh in Race 2, leaving the reverse-grid finale as a crucial opportunity to keep himself mathematically involved.
He responded with his strongest result of the season. Starting fourth, Fluxá made an exceptional launch and swept into the lead on the run to Paddock Hill Bend. He controlled all 19 laps and held off Fu by 0.844s to secure his first victory of the 2026 season.
Fluxá adds 50 points across the weekend and climbs from 305 to 355. He remains third, but the margins around him have changed considerably. Fairclough now sits only one point ahead, while Fluxá moves four clear of Molnar.
Molnar drops from second to fourth
Molnar suffers the largest positional loss among the championship top five, dropping two places despite adding to his total in every race. The Rodin Motorsport driver entered Brands Hatch as Bedrin’s closest rival on 313 points and began the weekend with seventh in Race 1 before producing his strongest result on Sunday morning.
In Race 2, Molnar passed Dante Vinci and teammate Rehm after the Safety Car restart to finish fourth. However, the reverse-grid finale proved costly. He started seventh but lost ground during the race and eventually finished 14th, while Fairclough and Fluxá both scored heavily.
His 38-point weekend takes him from 313 to 351. Molnar therefore falls from second to fourth, although only five points separate him from Fairclough and four from Fluxá. All three remain mathematically capable of challenging Bedrin heading into Barcelona.
Rehm strengthens fifth after Race 1 podium
Rehm remains fifth but produces another useful points haul at Brands Hatch. The Rodin Motorsport driver started Race 1 from the front row after Campbell-Pilling’s grid penalty and finished second behind Fairclough, securing another podium while finishing comfortably ahead of Bedrin.
He followed that result with fifth in Race 2 before starting eighth in the reverse-grid finale. Fairclough overtook him late at Paddock Hill Bend, while Bedrin also passed him on the road before the championship leader’s penalty returned one position in the amended classification.
Rehm adds 58 points and moves from 266 to 324. He therefore remains fifth, 27 points behind Molnar and 40 ahead of Campbell-Pilling in sixth.
Campbell-Pilling strengthens sixth after second-place finish
Campbell-Pilling remains sixth after another strong weekend for Xcel Motorsport. He qualified second in both sessions but carried a three-place grid penalty into Race 1, leaving him fifth on the grid. He retained that position before producing his best result of the weekend in Race 2.
Starting alongside Fairclough on the front row, Campbell-Pilling remained second throughout and secured another podium. He then started 11th in Race 3 and climbed three places to eighth, completing another consistent weekend.
The 59-point haul moves him from 225 to 284. Campbell-Pilling therefore increases his advantage over Patricio Gonzalez from two points after Donington to 25 after Brands Hatch.
Patricio Gonzalez remains seventh
Patricio Gonzalez keeps seventh despite Campbell-Pilling pulling away in the battle immediately ahead. The VRD Racing driver finished eighth in both conventional-grid races, collecting steady points while teammate Bedrin occupied the podium.
Race 3 produced his strongest result of the weekend. Gonzalez started third and finished sixth, adding another useful haul to move from 223 to 259 points. The gap to Campbell-Pilling grows from two to 25, but Gonzalez maintains a useful cushion over the drivers immediately behind.
Pulling and Jackes finish level on points
Abbi Pulling and Flynn Jackes end Round 7 level on 214 points after contrasting Brands Hatch weekends. Pulling entered eighth on 196 points and recovered from a slow Race 1 start to finish 10th. Her Race 2 ended after eight laps, leaving the Rodin Motorsport driver without points, before she started and finished ninth in Race 3.
Jackes began the weekend ninth on 183 points. The Elite Motorsport driver finished 12th and 13th in the opening two races before producing one of the biggest recoveries of Race 3, climbing from 18th to 10th and gaining eight positions.
Pulling adds 18 points across the weekend, while Jackes scores 31. The pair therefore head to Barcelona tied on 214, with their battle for eighth set to continue into the final round.
Lee completes the championship top 10
Kyuho Lee remains inside the championship top 10 after scoring in all three Brands Hatch races. The Elite Motorsport driver finished 14th in Race 1 before improving to 10th on Sunday morning, then recovered from 16th to 13th in the reverse-grid finale.
Those results move Lee from 167 to 191 points. He remains 23 points behind teammates Pulling and Jackes in the standings battle immediately ahead.
Vinci makes major gain as Wilson slips
Dante Vinci produces one of the strongest midfield weekends and climbs significantly through the standings. The Hillspeed driver started the round on 126 points and finished 11th in Race 1 before improving to sixth in Race 2.
His strongest opportunity arrived in the reverse-grid finale. Vinci started sixth and ran inside the podium positions for much of the contest before Le passed him for third on Lap 13. Fourth still delivered another major points return and completed an impressive weekend.
Vinci’s 42-point haul lifts him to 168 and moves him ahead of Leon Wilson. Wilson adds nine points and reaches 161 after finishing 18th, 15th and 17th across the three races, while Rodrigo Gonzalez follows on 146 after scoring 16 points at Brands Hatch.
Fu climbs after maiden podium as Le makes immediate impact
Fu produces his strongest result of the year in the final race after a difficult start to the weekend. The Hitech driver retired from Race 1 and finished 11th in Race 2, but the reverse-grid finale offered a major opportunity. Starting second, Fu remained in the position throughout and pressured Fluxá during the closing stages before taking his maiden GB3 podium.
Fu adds 27 points to reach 134, taking him ahead of former teammate Jacob Micallef, who remains on 129 after completing his planned Hitech programme at Donington.
Peter Bouzinelos also makes progress after another productive weekend. Sixth in Race 1 and 12th in Race 2 added to his total before he started Race 3 from pole. He crossed the line fifth, but two track-limits penalties dropped him to 12th. His 30-point weekend takes him from 91 to 121.
Kanato Le also makes an immediate impact on his return to GB3. The Hitech driver finished fourth in Race 1, ninth in Race 2 and third in the finale after passing Vinci. Those results give him 50 points from his first 2026 appearance.

Bedrin therefore carries 445 points into Barcelona, 89 ahead of Fairclough. However, the fight behind him has changed completely. Only five points cover Fairclough, Fluxá and Molnar, with Fairclough and Fluxá separated by a single point and Molnar only another four further back.
Rehm remains mathematically eliminated from the title fight despite reaching 324 points, leaving Bedrin, Fairclough, Fluxá and Molnar as the four remaining contenders heading into the final three races.
Teams’ Championship: Rodin extends advantage over VRD
Rodin Motorsport strengthens its Teams’ Championship lead after entering Brands Hatch only four points ahead of VRD Racing. The team started Round 7 on 657 points after overturning a 40-point deficit at Donington, with Rehm providing its largest individual contribution through second in Race 1 before adding fifth and seventh in the remaining contests.
Molnar scored throughout the weekend, while Pulling added further points in Races 1 and 3. Rodin consequently adds 101 points and moves onto 758, extending its championship advantage with one round remaining.
VRD Racing also scores strongly, but Bedrin’s Race 3 penalty limits its opportunity to stay closer. The championship leader supplied two third places, while Patricio Gonzalez scored in all three races and finished sixth in the finale. Rodrigo Gonzalez added further points lower down the order.
VRD adds 89 points to move from 653 to 742. Rodin therefore extends its championship advantage from four points to 16 heading into Barcelona.
Hitech jumps Xcel for third after 138-point weekend
The battle behind the leading two teams changes even more dramatically. Hitech entered Brands Hatch fourth on 553 points, three behind Xcel Motorsport, but Fairclough’s victories immediately produced two maximum scores. Le also contributed fourth in Race 1 and ninth in Race 2.
Race 3 delivered another major result for Hitech. Fairclough recovered to fifth, Fu finished second and Le took third, giving the team its strongest collective race of the weekend.
Hitech adds 138 points and moves onto 691, climbing from fourth to third. Xcel Motorsport still enjoys a productive weekend as Campbell-Pilling takes second in Race 2 and Fluxá ends the round with victory, helping the team add 109 points and move from 556 to 665.
However, Hitech’s larger haul transforms a three-point deficit into a 26-point advantage over Xcel heading into Barcelona.
Elite remains fifth as Hillspeed closes slightly
Elite Motorsport retains fifth after another steady weekend from Jackes and Lee. The team entered Brands Hatch on 390 points and adds 55 across the three races, with Jackes’ eight-place recovery in Race 3 providing one of its strongest individual performances while Lee scores in each contest.
Elite therefore reaches 445 points. Hillspeed remains sixth but adds 72 to move from 263 to 335, with Vinci contributing heavily through sixth in Race 2 and fourth in Race 3. Bouzinelos also adds sixth in Race 1 and further points despite his penalties in the finale.
Arden Motorsport reaches 222 points, while Fortec Motorsports remains on 82 after not competing at Brands Hatch. Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing also stays on 22, with AKCEL GP joining the Teams’ standings on six points through Kulkarni’s three finishes.

Rodin therefore takes a 16-point advantage over VRD Racing into the final round, compared with only four after Donington. Hitech’s exceptional Brands Hatch weekend moves it ahead of Xcel by 26 points, completely reversing the three-point deficit it carried into Round 7.
Brands Hatch sends four-way title fight to Barcelona
Brands Hatch ultimately strengthens Bedrin’s numerical position without allowing him to secure the championship. His advantage increases from 79 to 89 points, but Fairclough’s remarkable late-season surge changes the identity of his nearest challenger.
The Hitech driver has climbed from 10th on 102 points after the Red Bull Ring to second on 356 after Brands Hatch, scoring 254 points across the past three rounds. Fluxá sits only one point further back after his maiden victory, while Molnar remains another four behind. Only five points therefore separate the three drivers pursuing Bedrin.
The Teams’ Championship also remains open. Rodin extends its lead over VRD Racing to 16 points, while Hitech’s 138-point Brands Hatch weekend promotes it ahead of Xcel Motorsport. GB3 now heads to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the eighth and final round, where Bedrin, Fairclough, Fluxá and Molnar will contest the Drivers’ Championship and Rodin will attempt to defend its Teams’ Championship advantage.
