Esteban Ocon has confirmed on social media he will be leaving Haas at the end of the 2026 F1 season. The Frenchman has spent two campaigns with the team following his departure from Alpine two years ago.
This year has been incredibly tough for the 30-year-old. While he drove a strong race in Baku last weekend, his season has been plagued by parts inconsistency issues, as well as some events where he has just struggled for pace, particularly at the start of the season.
Across his two years with the team, the 2021 Hungarian GP winner has bagged 45 points to date. His best result was P5 in China at the beginning of last season.
Confirmation is expected in the near future that F2 championship leader Rafael Câmara has been signed by Haas F1 for 2027.
Esteban Ocon on leaving Haas F1 Team at the end of 2026:
“My time with Haas F1 Team will come to an end at the end of the 2026 season.I leave this project with my head held high and proud of my performances in what were not always the easiest of circumstances for various reasons and factors outside of my control.
“My immediate focus is the next race weekend. I will continue to work hard with the team, maximise every opportunity, and keep extracting every bit of performance from the car. There are still many races to go this season and, as always, I will give it my everything behind the wheel for myself and for my team.
“I am still motivated. I am still hungry. This is absolutely not the end of my Formula 1 career.”
