Newly crowned Ginetta Junior champion Lewis Goff will make his single-seater racing debut with KMR Sport during the inaugural GB4 Championship Winter Series at Snetterton on 24–25 October.
The 15-year-old British driver joins the reigning GB4 Drivers’ champions following a dominant 2026 Ginetta Junior campaign, during which he secured ten victories and five additional podium finishes. Goff claimed the championship with a commanding 113-point advantage, establishing himself as one of Britain’s most promising young racing talents.
His move represents the next step in a successful junior career, with the Snetterton event providing an opportunity to adapt to single-seater machinery alongside a team that has consistently challenged for GB4 championship honours.
Goff prepares for first single-seater appearance
Goff will transition into GB4 machinery following an impressive season with R Racing, where he demonstrated the speed, consistency and racecraft required to compete at the front of the Ginetta Junior field.
Although the British teenager has extensive experience in karting and junior sportscar competition, the Winter Series will introduce a different challenge as he adapts to open-wheel racing. He will need to become familiar with the car’s handling characteristics, braking performance and aerodynamic behaviour while competing against drivers with previous single-seater experience.
However, joining KMR Sport provides an opportunity to work with an established operation that has considerable experience developing young drivers.
Goff expressed his excitement about beginning this new chapter with the championship-winning team.
“I’m really excited to be joining KMR and extremely grateful for the opportunity to be with the GB4 champions. I can’t wait to get my first single-seater race weekend underway.”
Dominant Ginetta Junior campaign establishes Goff’s credentials
Goff established himself as the leading contender from the opening round of the 2026 Ginetta Junior Championship, winning the first four races across the Donington Park and Silverstone weekends.
His early performances provided an immediate championship advantage, allowing him to establish momentum while several rivals struggled to match his consistency. However, Goff demonstrated that his abilities extended beyond controlling races from the front.
One of his most impressive performances came at Oulton Park, where he twice recovered from 25th on the grid to finish inside the top five. Those drives highlighted his overtaking ability and determination, particularly as he navigated a competitive junior field without compromising his championship position.
Goff subsequently completed the weekend with victory in the final race, reinforcing his advantage and demonstrating his ability to recover from difficult circumstances.
The teenager maintained his strong performances throughout the remaining rounds, combining further victories with consistent podium finishes. He ultimately secured the championship before the final event at Brands Hatch, leaving his closest rivals unable to overturn his advantage.
Despite having already secured the title, Goff continued competing at the front during the finale. He added another podium in the opening race before concluding his campaign with a final victory, bringing his season total to ten wins and five additional podium finishes.
His commanding 113-point championship margin reflected a season in which he consistently demonstrated both outright pace and race management.
Goff’s success also added to an impressive junior racing record, which includes finishing runner-up in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series, taking second place in the Rotax World Championship and winning the RMC Orlando Winter Cup in karting.
KMR Sport welcomes another promising British talent
Goff joins one of GB4’s most successful operations, with KMR Sport having secured three Teams’ Championships and two Drivers’ titles since the championship’s introduction in 2022.
The team established its credentials during the early years of the series, securing the 2023 Drivers’ Championship with Tom Mills. It subsequently continued challenging for honours, combining competitive performances with an emphasis on developing drivers progressing through the junior single-seater categories.
KMR added another Drivers’ Championship in 2026 through Alex O’Grady, who secured the title following a campaign built on consistency and strong race performances. His success reinforced the team’s position among the leading operations in GB4, providing another championship achievement ahead of the Winter Series.
Team Principal Kevin Mills welcomed Goff’s arrival, highlighting the teenager’s achievements and the opportunity to support his transition into single-seaters.
“It’s no understatement that Lewis is one of the UK’s most exciting young prospects at the moment, and we’re absolutely delighted that he’s going to be racing with us in the GB4 Winter Series at Snetterton. We’re really looking forward to working with him as he makes the first steps into single-seater racing, and can’t wait to see how he gets on in his first races.”
The partnership will allow Goff to benefit from KMR Sport’s experience while the team works with another promising young driver beginning his single-seater career.
Snetterton Winter Series offers valuable preparation
The inaugural GB4 Winter Series will take place at Snetterton’s 300 circuit on 24–25 October, providing an opportunity for drivers to gain additional racing experience following the conclusion of the regular championship.
The weekend will feature two qualifying sessions and four races, with competitors contesting two races on each day. Pre-event testing on 22–23 October will also give Goff an opportunity to familiarise himself with the car before his first competitive appearance.
He will race the Tatuus MSV GB4-025, which the championship introduced in 2025. The car represents a considerable change from the Ginetta Junior machinery he has raced throughout the season, introducing different braking demands, aerodynamic characteristics and driving techniques.
The Winter Series will therefore provide an important opportunity to gain experience without immediately committing to a full single-seater championship campaign.
Goff begins next chapter after championship success
Goff enters his GB4 debut with considerable momentum following a season in which he established himself as the standout performer in Ginetta Junior.
His ten victories and commanding championship advantage demonstrated his competitiveness, while his recovery drives at Oulton Park highlighted the racecraft that could prove valuable as he progresses into single-seaters.
Nevertheless, the move presents a new challenge, with Goff needing to adapt quickly to unfamiliar machinery and a different racing environment.
KMR Sport’s experience and recent championship success should provide a strong foundation for that transition, allowing the teenager to begin developing the skills required for the next stage of his career.
Although Goff has not yet confirmed his racing plans for 2027, the Snetterton Winter Series will offer an early opportunity to assess his potential in single-seater competition as he looks to build on his impressive Ginetta Junior achievements.
