Jak Crawford stormed to his first win of the 2025 F2 season with a dominant display in the Imola Sprint Race. Starting on the front row, the DAMS Lucas Oil driver snatched the lead from Ritomo Miyata at the start and controlled the race from the front, claiming 10 points and moving his championship total to 30.
Arvid Lindblad climbed from fifth to second with a strong opening and late-race pace, but fell just short without DRS in the closing laps. He took 8 points for his efforts. Luke Browning secured third under heavy pressure from Victor Martins and Alex Dunne. Martins claimed 6 points in fourth, with Dunne close behind in fifth, scoring 4.
Miyata, after briefly challenging Crawford early on, slipped down the order to sixth, earning his first points of the season with 3. Roman Staněk took the final point in eighth, raising his tally to 9. Sebastián Montoya and Dino Beganovic both missed out on points after late mistakes, finishing ninth and twelfth respectively.
Championship leader Richard Verschoor retired with a suspected technical issue after starting P19, though he retained the lead with 53 points. Fornaroli, finishing seventh and scoring 2 points, closed the gap to 10 and now has 43. Pepe Martí failed to score and dropped to third on 41. Browning’s podium lifted him to fourth in the standings on 40, just one point ahead of Dunne on 39.
Miyata, with his three points, now shares 15th in the standings with Montoya and Rafael Villagómez. Meanwhile, Staněk remains 12th overall.
