CUPRA KIRO confirm development driver Bianca Bustamante to drive the Formula E Women’s Test in Valencia. The Filipina signed with CUPRA KIRO in the mid of June, getting behind the wheel for the team during the Berlin Rookie Test alongside Callum Voisin. This will be Bustamante’s second Formula E Women Test, after she represented NEOM McLaren in 2024.
Bustamante Builds Momentum with CUPRA KIRO ahead of second Formula E Women’s Test
Filipina racer Bianca Bustamante reached a major milestone in July 2025 when she debuted with CUPRA KIRO at the Formula E Rookie Test in Berlin. She earned the chance after finishing third at the 2024 Formula E Women’s Test in Jarama, Spain. That result secured her a Development Driver role with CUPRA KIRO.
In June, she shadowed full-time drivers Dan Ticktum and David Beckmann at the Jakarta E-Prix. She integrated with the team and learned how Formula E operates behind the scenes. A month later, she drove the GEN3 Evo at Berlin’s demanding Tempelhof Street Circuit. CUPRA KIRO prepared her with simulator work and technical briefings. She adapted quickly to the car and showed strong pace under pressure.
The Filipina continues to compete in the GB3 Championship, where she develops her single-seater skills. Next, Bustamante will join the Formula E Women’s Test in Valencia. The test will give her more mileage in the GEN3 Evo and deepen her connection with the series. It also marks another step in her mission to break barriers and inspire future women in motorsport.
Women’s Test Expands Opportunities in FE
The Formula E Women’s Test drives diversity and creates real career paths for women in motorsport. In its second edition, the test offers double the track time. Up to 20 elite female drivers take the wheel of the GEN3 Evo race car — the same car used by championship drivers. All 10 teams will field at least one woman, with the option of two.
