Patrick Heuzenroeder led the way in 2025 GB3 Championship testing at Brands Hatch on Friday, as the Australian topped both the second and third sessions on the Indy circuit. Driving for Xcel Motorsport, he set the outright best lap of the day at 42.123s, confirming his speed ahead of the switch to the full Grand Prix layout on Saturday.
Championship leader Alex Ninovic kept the pressure on by placing second overall, just 0.065s adrift of his fellow countryman. Like most of the top ten, Ninovic’s best lap came in the final session, underlining the growing pace across the afternoon.
Deagen Fairclough also enjoyed a strong showing for Hitech TGR. The reigning British F4 champion improved late in the day to secure third place overall, just 0.085s away from the benchmark.
Enzo Tarnvanichkul impressed for VRD Racing, finding more than three tenths of a second between sessions to finish fourth, only 0.137s behind Heuzenroeder. Freddie Slater, who set the morning pace for Hillspeed, slipped to fifth in the combined order but remained just 0.004s away from Tarnvanichkul.
Elite Motorsport’s Will Macintyre secured sixth spot, while Hitech’s Keanu Al Azhari followed closely, just over three hundredths behind. Gianmarco Pradel, third in the championship standings, placed eighth for Rodin Motorsport. Hitech’s Nikita Johnson and Rodin’s Abbi Pulling completed the top ten, the group covered by only 0.330s.
Remarkably, all 21 drivers finished within one second of Heuzenroeder’s outright pace, highlighting the competitiveness of the field heading into the weekend.
Saturday’s action begins with practice before the double qualifying session and the first race on the Grand Prix circuit.
