Rodin Motorsport have announced Brando Badoer, a member of the McLaren Driver Development Programme, as their first driver signing for the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship. The 19-year-old Italian will return to the category for a second consecutive season, this time with a new team and renewed ambitions.

Gaining experience in 2025

Badoer made his FIA Formula 3 debut in 2025, racing with Prema Racing. His best result came at the Budapest Sprint Race, where he finished sixth. Over the course of the season, he showed flashes of potential despite a challenging campaign, ultimately finishing 25th in the Drivers’ Standings.

Alongside his F3 duties, Badoer competed in the 2025 Formula Regional Middle East Championship earlier in the year. There, he delivered a strong and consistent performance, finishing fourth overall in the standings—proving his ability to adapt and compete at a high level.

Badoer also enjoyed success in 2024 during his Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) campaign. Driving for Van Amersfoort Racing, he claimed seven podium finishes and secured fifth place in the final championship classification.

A fresh start with Rodin

Looking ahead to 2026, Badoer is eager to return to Formula 3 and is optimistic about what lies ahead with Rodin Motorsport.

“I’m super excited to be joining the Rodin F3 team for next season,” said Badoer. “I can’t wait to get it started, full push!”

The move marks an important step for both Badoer and Rodin Motorsport as they aim to build a competitive package for the upcoming season.

Confidence from the team

Rodin Motorsport’s Sporting Director, Benn Huntingford, praised Badoer’s development and believes the young driver is ready to take the next step.

“We’re delighted to welcome Brando to Rodin Motorsport for FIA F3 in 2026. He’s shown great speed and maturity, and we’re confident he’ll make a strong impact with the team.”

Rodin Motorsport will confirm their remaining drivers in the coming weeks.
