Trident has announced that Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak will be stepping in to race for the team at the 2025 F2 season finale in Abu Dhabi. The Thai driver was already set to join the F2 grid in 2026 with ART Grand Prix. He will now make his series debut this weekend instead with Trident.
An early debut after an impressive F3 campaign
Inthraphuvasak had an impressive season with Campos Racing for his second season in the F3 championship. He finished P9 in the Championship standings and earned a total of 67 points to his name. The Thai driver also became the first from his nation to win in F3. This record was made with his maiden Sprint Race victory at Silverstone.
Inthraphuvasak is excited and grateful for this opportunity with Trident. He will be looking to familiarise himself with the new car and take notes for his debut season in F2.
“I’m really excited to be racing in the final round of the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Trident Motorsport,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity, and I want to thank everyone who made it possible. I’m looking forward to making the most of this weekend and preparing as best I can for next season.”
Ricci pleased to work with proven competitor
TRIDENT Team Manager Giacomo Ricci expressed his excitement towards Inthraphuvasak’s upcoming debut at the 2025 F2 season finale. He also took the time to praise Inthraphuvasak’s performance during the 2025 F3 season.
“We are pleased to be able to field Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak in the final round of the FIA Formula 2 Championship season. I consider him one of the most talented drivers we have seen in the FIA Formula 3 Championship this year. We had the opportunity to see Tasanapol’s skills in the Macau Grand Prix, where he raced with us and immediately proved to be fast and competitive. Although he is making his debut in the category, I am sure he can also do well on the Yas Marina circuit.”
