MP Motorsport has confirmed that Belgian racer Ean Eyckmans will graduate to the Eurocup-3 series with the team in 2026. After an impressive rookie season in Formula 4, the 17-year-old will continue his progression within the Dutch outfit’s programme, backed once again by the Belgian federation.

Eyckmans finished runner-up in the F4 Spanish Championship in 2025, immediately marking himself out as one of the most promising young drivers of his generation. His promotion extends a remarkable trend of Richard Mille Young Talent Academy Shootout winners delivering standout debut campaigns in single-seater racing. He now continues his single-seater ascent with a move into Eurocup-3.

Rapid rise into Eurocup-3 after standout F4 season

Before moving into cars, Eyckmans built a formidable karting résumé. He finished runner-up in the 2018 WSK Final Cup and the 2019 WSK Super Master Series in Mini karts, alongside third place in the Italian Championship. He later claimed third in the 2021 FIA European Championship in OK Junior and won the WSK Super Master Series in 2024.

Eyckmans then stepped into Formula 4 for the first time in 2025 and delivered results from the outset. He fought consistently at the front of the Spanish championship and secured second place overall at his first attempt. That performance made an immediate step up on the single-seater ladder a logical move.

Naturally, MP Motorsport acted quickly to retain him and placed him in one of four cars for its Eurocup-3 line-up. Eyckmans will race alongside Gianmarco Pradel, with further driver announcements expected soon.

Eyckman to continue development with MP Motorsport with 2026 Eurocup-3 campaign

Eyckmans welcomed the opportunity to continue with a team he already knows well. He also noted the team’s strong pedigree in single-seater motorsport. In 2025, MP Motorsport claimed both the Teams’ and Drivers’ Championships.

“I’m very happy to stay with MP Motorsport for this exciting new step in my single-seater career,” he said. “I feel that I am ready for the challenge, but it certainly helps that MP have been a strong force in Eurocup-3 since the start of the series. That bodes well for my prospects in the coming season. In fact, it’s nice to know that MP is represented across the entire single-seater ladder, as that allows you to create a bond with the team and build on a strong level of cooperation.”

Team Principal Sander Dorsman echoed that confidence. He praised Eyckman’s “exceptional” performance in his debut F4 season and emphasised his faith in the Belgian’s potential.

“We are pleased that Ean has decided to stick with us for his promotion to Eurocup-3 in 2026,” Dorsman said. “He has been exceptional in his debut season in formula racing, growing stronger with every race weekend. His opportunity to move up together with us is fully deserved. I’m confident that Ean, along with Gianmarco and the other drivers that we will announce shortly, is fully up to the task of maintaining our position at the top of the championship tables this season.”

With a proven karting pedigree, an outstanding rookie Formula 4 season and continuity within MP Motorsport, he arrives well prepared for the step up. As Eurocup-3 continues to establish itself as a key pathway towards FIA Formula 3, Eyckmans has every opportunity to turn promise into performance in 2026.
