Porsche Center Okazaki has confirmed an unchanged driver line-up for the 2026 season of GT World Challenge (GTWC) Asia powered by AWS. As a result, the Japanese squad heads into the new campaign with continuity, experience and renewed ambition.
Moreover, both entries will run the latest Evo specification of the Porsche 911 GT3 R, marking the model’s global SRO debut year.
Nagai extends remarkable series record as he takes on 2026 GTWC Asia campaign with Porsche Center Okazaki
Hiroaki Nagai will once again spearhead the #18 entry. This decision ensures he maintains his record of competing in at least one GT World Challenge season every year since the championship’s inception.
Initially, Nagai made two appearances in 2017 at Suzuka and Fuji. Subsequently, he expanded his programme with ARN in 2018, when the team began operating under the Porsche Center Okazaki banner. Since racing resumed after the pandemic in 2022, he has remained a consistent presence on the grid.
Alongside him, Kazuto Kotaka steps up to a full-season role. Notably, Kotaka already partnered Nagai at Mandalika and Fuji earlier this year, strengthening their working relationship ahead of 2026.
In addition, the former Super Formula Lights champion brings impressive recent experience. His 2025 campaign included outings in Super Formula, both classes of Super GT, and an appearance at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa in Europe. Consequently, Porsche Center Okazaki benefits from a driver pairing that blends loyalty with sharp competitive edge.
Fourth season together for #25 crew
Meanwhile, the #25 Porsche continues with one of the championship’s most established pairings. Kiyoshi Uchiyama and Tsubasa Kondo will enter their fourth consecutive GT World Challenge Asia season together.
The duo first debuted the 992-generation 911 GT3 R in 2022. Since then, they have built strong continuity within the team. Now, they prepare to become among the first drivers to race the Evo version in Asia.
Furthermore, the car will retain its distinctive turquoise livery, which has become a recognisable feature of Porsche Center Okazaki’s presence in the paddock.
Evo specification signals new chapter
Importantly, 2026 marks the global SRO competition debut of the Evo-spec 911 GT3 R. By committing both cars to the updated package, Porsche Center Okazaki signals clear intent to remain competitive as the technical regulations evolve.
Therefore, with stability across both garages and fresh technical potential under the bodywork, the team positions itself strongly for the upcoming campaign. Continuity, experience and development now combine as Porsche Center Okazaki aims to build on its established presence in GT World Challenge Asia.
