Campos Racing’s 2025 F3 season was one for the history books. The Spanish outfit brought home their maiden Teams’ Championship victory.

Their three drivers, Nikola Tsolov, Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak and Mari Boya had a stellar season across the board, with both Tsolov and Boya in contention for the Drivers’ Championship. All three drivers featured on the top step of the podium throughout the season, with Feature Race and Sprint Race wins across the board.

Team Principal Adrián Campos Jr spoke about his delight with how the season went for Campos Racing, adding that it is something that hasn’t happened in the past, and that he was impressed that all three drivers and the team remained competitive throughout the whole FIA Formula 3 season.

“I couldn’t be happier with how the season went,” he said. “I’m very proud of everyone here in the team. We are doing such a good job of learning and developing with these new cars that we are racing. We have always been competitive.”

“It’s amazing, it’s something that’s never happened in the past and we have 27 years of history. It’s something we couldn’t imagine five years ago, and you can’t imagine how happy it makes me.”

“All three drivers and the team overall were very competitive, drivers that were struggling in the past managed to fight at the top with us.”

Campos Racing in the title fight

At the start of the F3 2025 season, Campos Racing didn’t look to be in the Teams’ Standings title fight while Trident surged into the lead. By Round 10 at Monza, however, the fight went down to the wire. That turnaround was mirrored by the drivers too, with Tsolov and Boya finishing P2 and P3 respectively and Inthraphuvasak taking P7.

“By the end of the Championship, we had all three drivers in the top seven, so I couldn’t ask for more from them.”

“In the end, everything went our way in Monza. We did the best race we probably could have done on Sunday when we had to do it in the final moments, so I’m very proud of everybody.”

Valuing individuals strengths within the team

Campos Racing have been on an upward trajectory since their early years in Formula 3, consistently equalling or improving their performance in the Championship Standings in all but one season.

According to Campos Jr, this steady progress stems from the team’s strong internal culture. He added that by allowing each individual’s strengths to shine, the team continues to move forward together.

“It’s important. I believe that not everyone can do everything. We have three engineers and all three have different abilities and can be better in one aspect compared to another. And that is what being a team is about.”

“It’s giving each one a responsibility where they know they can deliver, and at the moment I think it’s working very well.”

“I think that when people are doing what they do best, it keeps them going, keeps them motivated and I need to make sure that they have what they need to do what they do best.”

Adrián Campos Jr’s favourite moment from the 2025 F3 season

Apart from winning the Teams’ Championship, Campos Jr put down that their weekend in Monaco was one of his favourites, as it was a big defining moment in their 2025 campaign.

Among this, Tsolov turned pole into a Feature Race victory in Monaco, which marked the teams first in Monte Carlo, with Boya joining him on the podium.

This is where the momentum shifted for Campos Racing, where they continued to add Feature Race and Sprint Race wins to their campaign, which set them on their path to winning the title.

“I think that first win we had in Monaco with Nikola was a very special moment. It was such a dominant weekend where we knew we could be strong, and it turned out we were.”

“That started a lot of momentum for us. What happened at the Red Bull Ring was a shame, but we were extremely competitive. Mari also finished third for us in Monaco, but that was another big highlight of the season for us.”

Where to in the future for Campos Racing in Formula 3?

Looking ahead, now that they’ve secured their maiden F3 title in the 2025 season, Campos Racing have no intention of stepping back in 2026. However, they are fully aware that the challenge of staying on top will be even tougher next season.

Not only is the F3 Championship fiercely competitive, but Campos Jr expects every team on the grid to raise their game for next year. Yet this prospect doesn’t deter Campos Racing — instead, it serves as a powerful motivator to push even harder. Their aim is clear: to remain just as competitive in 2026 and stay firmly in the fight for both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships.

“Now we face the most difficult challenge I think of needing to stay on top. We can’t improve our position because we won, but we will have nine teams pushing like hell behind us, so we will need to be at our best to stay on top of the Teams’ Standings next year.”

“We’ve started our preparations already, and I’m very confident of how 2026 can go. The goal is to defend the Championship, and fight for the Drivers’ title once again. Hopefully next year is when we achieve the double. That’s what we’ll be pushing for.”
