Sprint Qualifying for the 2026 F1 British GP has been completed; view the full results from Silverstone below.

Following the weekend’s only practice session, the field headed into Sprint Qualifying with limited preparation time. Lewis Hamilton topped FP1 for Ferrari ahead of championship leader Kimi Antonelli and teammate Charles Leclerc, while Oscar Piastri suffered a spin at Becketts and Lando Norris struggled with track limits during the session.

Lewis Hamilton secured Sprint pole after the Sprint Qualifying for the 2026 F1 British GP Sprint Race at Silverstone, edging Kimi Antonelli by just 0.011s who finished P2 in a tightly contested SQ3 shootout.

Max Verstappen finished third ahead of Charles Leclerc in fourth, while George Russell had to settle for fifth after a strong effort that left him just off the front two rows. Lando Norris took sixth, with Oscar Piastri in seventh.

Isack Hadjar impressed again to secure eighth, while Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad completed the top ten.

SQ2 brought more drama as George Russell secured his place in SQ3 with a late improvement, while defending winner Lando Norris narrowly progressed in tenth. Both Alpine drivers, Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto, exited alongside Audi duo Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hülkenberg, while Williams saw Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon miss out on the final shootout.

Home favourite Ollie Bearman suffered an early exit alongside Haas teammate Esteban Ocon, while Cadillac pair Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas, plus the Aston Martin drivers, were also eliminated from SQ1.
