After only one (extended) Free Practice in Montreal, it was time for Sprint Qualifying for the F1 Canadian GP, full results are below.
Sprint Qualifying 1 results
SQ1 was down to just 20 drivers, as both Liam Lawson and Alex Albon could not compete after issues during Free Practice. At the end, Fernando Alonso caused a red flag by crashing into turn 3, with a little under 2 minutes to go. Lewis Hamilton was the fastest on the medium tyres.

Sprint Qualifying 2 results
After crashing out of SQ1, it was clear Alonso would not partake in SQ2. Max Verstappen decided to wait out the first few minutes to stay clear of the traffic. It did not bring him much as he ended up in ninth. Carlos Sainz and Nico Hülkenberg scrapped for tenth, with the Spaniard ending on top.

The final part of Sprint Qualifying sees the top 10 battling for Sprint pole on the soft Pirelli rubber instead of the mediums. Eventually it was again a Mercedes back on top, as George Russell took Sprint pole.
