FP1 at the 2026 F1 Chinese GP saw George Russell lead the timings, followed by Kimi Antonelli and Lando Norris, with the full results of the session here.

Teams kicked off the second round of the 2026 season in Shanghai, with the first Sprint weekend of the year, leaving them just one practice session to gather crucial data before Sprint Qualifying.

George Russell arrived in China as the championship leader after his victory at the season opener in Australia, adding further intrigue as the paddock began its preparations at the Shanghai International Circuit. Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc sat 2nd and 3rd in the standings as no World Champions featured on the podium at Albert Park.

Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and Max Verstappen secured solid points to start their seasons. Oscar Piastri and Isack Hadjar were aiming to bounce back from Albert Park heartbreak.

Williams, Aston Martin and Cadillac will be looking to remedy their F1 Australian GP woes, with all three teams coming away from the weekend with zero points.
